Perfect

I have a large ladder and a small step stool. I needed something that was in between and this Werner 3' Steel Step Stool with the Tray is just right. I really came in handy when I decided to paint a couple rooms in my house. Luckily, I'm tall enough to stand on it and paint the ceiling. I also realized that they little tray was a perfect place to place my painting tray that way I didn't have to constantly get down. Very good for painting projects.

Being the owner of a 2-story home and an active DIYer, I believe you can never have too many ladders. I have a 22 ft Werner Multi Ladder, folding 8 and 12-foot ladders and of course those annoying little 2-step step stools that go around masquerading as real ladders. A few years ago those little ladders were getting a little long in the tooth and truthfully I've wanted to get rid of them for years. In their place I purchased a pair of Werner 3-ft Steel Step Stool with Work Tray. **What I like** The Werner 3-ft Steel Step Stool with Work Tray provides you with 3 steps of substantial width. It provides a secure foothold. When standing on the second or top step this Werner has a raised handle that acts like a stablizer. On the opposite side of the ladder Werner thought to put a work/tool tray with well thought out cut-outs for common tools. This is a big time-saver for the absent minded DIYer. Although at first the good Mrs. Xeno thought them too tall, she now agrees that the 55" height makes the very easy to maneuver. When folded they are just 3" deep and weigh in at less than 20 lbs. This is a good fit in any home. And, for the DIYer it's a lot more convenient than pulling out a 6', 8' or 12' folding ladder. It seems to be just the right size and weight for a majority of household projects. I recommend the Werner 3-ft Steel Step Stool with Work Tray.

I had an old step stool as well as a heavy duty 8 foot step ladder.  I needed something in between the step stool and the ladder for chores like washing windows, painting, etc.  I wanted something light, but sturdy.  After going to the home improvement stores and trying out different 3 ft. step ladders I decided on the Werner 3 ft. stepladder with tray.  I really like that there is a bar that comes up above the top step so that you can actually stand on the top step.   On that bar is a tray which is helpful for holding tools, window spray, or other small items you're using.  The stepladder folds up small, but is just a little stiff and difficult to fold and it would be pretty easy to pinch fingers if you're not careful.  Once you open the stepladder, there is a latch that secures it.  You can't accidentally close it.  You have to lift the latch, which, along with the rubber feet makes it very secure.  It is just what I needed for chores and projects when I don't want to lug out my heavy ladder.
