Our oven has pulled out some tremendous entrees and treats and they always seem to have a special zing in there taste. It really seems to bake in a real home cooked heartiness that warms the belly of the full meal. It has a more than genuine energy to the core of its' culinary production. Capacity We've had some tremendously sized meals cooked inside the spacious interior and the turkeys and other various large items always fit quite well. Performance The preheat seems to rise quite quickly and the heat is very toasty. Excellent use of power and seems to cook quite thoroughly and fast. Ease of Cleaning Cleans out like a charm. The surfaces are designed really well for cleaning and it takes little to no time to wipe up drips and spills. Ease of Use Great settings that make operation a breeze. Really well distributed knobs and dials that twist with a spectacular smoothness. Durability The inner walls and grills hold a steady strength that muscles through the heat with a timeless bond. Design Very well designed, quite pleasing to view and really blends well with our kitchen.

We got this oven for our vacation home when we had to replace the 20 year old oven that finally burnt out last year. We like this one. It's sleek. It's very simple. But most of all, it's very easy to use and doesn't have a lot of buttons or programs that you have to learn. You turn it on, set the temperature. Set what you want to do (bake, broil, etc.) and that's about it. The timer works well. It's our 2nd clock in the kitchen. It's NOT a fancy or showing oven, but it's very, very functional. Capacity It's not the biggest oven you can get, but for the space it takes up it does a good job of holding the most that you can fit into it. Just make sure you pre-measure any baking sheets or larger oven pots before buying them since this model will not fit all things that your stove oven would. Performance It's not fancy. It doesn't have a lot of programability, but it works super well for our family! Ease of Use I like the fact that it's basic, simple controls that anyone can easily learn how to use.

I had this oven in our last house and now have a Thermador, which I hate.  The Viking worked so simply, was super reliable and told you when it reached whatever  temperature you set it for. Which doesn't sound like much but my Thermador which was very expensive doesn't do that.  I loved my Viking electric oven and wish we had taken it with us.  Viking works the best and I cook a lot.   This one can evenly cook cakes beautifully. Very happy with this and didn't have any problems with it.  We had it for 4 years before we moved.

I have a Viking oven - model VES0130SS.   It's the first Viking oven I've ever owned, and I was excited when I first got it because I thought Viking was a premium appliance brand.  However I have been disappointed with it's performance - and I've been even more disappointed in the customer service Viking offers.   The oven temperature was typically 50 degrees below what the setting was.   I complained to Viking and they connected me with an appliance repairman that "fixed" it under my warranty.   Then a few months later the same issue occurred, but now the warranty had expired.  Initially they were refusing to cover it, but I argued that it was not a new issue, but a continuation of the same old issue.   They finally agreed to repair it.  The repairman replaced the thermostat and it worked again for a little while.    Now, the oven is again having problems, and appears to not be heating at all.   I called Viking again, but they refused to help saying it was out of warranty.  I asked the representative, "doesn't the fact that there continues to be repeated problems with this oven suggest to you that the product might be a lemon?"  I understand how warranties work, and if this problem came out of the blue after the warranty expired, then I wouldn't expect them to pay, but this problem occurred while it was under warranty and continues to occur.   I no longer think Viking is a good brand b/c they don't stand behind their products quality.
