I have very fine hair and have always struggled with how to get it to look fuller and have more volume.  My stylist first used this on me and I've been hooked ever since.  I love how it allows me to have great lift at my roots and doesn't get greasy feeling or leave heavy buildup.  I can even "re-use" it the next day just by adding a little water and blowing it out again.  It smells good, works great and is affordable, considering how long a bottle lasts.  It adds a nice texture to my hair, allowing me to get height and smoothness at the same time.  I've tried different products, looking for "a change", but always come back to the Root Boost.  I just love the Tigi products.  They have such fun names!  The root boost does exactly what is says it will do - it boosts your roots!  I even purchased a small travel size of this so I would never be without it even on vacation!  I just can't say enough good things about it!  Highly recommended!

I have been using this product for a while now and just recently found out how to use it correctly so I got the best results from it.  Sometimes my hair gets kind of flat by the root area when I straighten it so I spray this when my hair is damp at the roots and rub it in then I blow dry and then straighten and i get great results.  Normally my hair is so thick and wavy that I don't usually use products that provide extra body but when I straighten it I notice that the root area is sometimes a little flat so I use this when it is damp and then blow dry it and the straighten it and i have straight shiny hair with body just at the root which is exactly what I want.  It also will still not be as flat the day after I straighten it, whenever I straighten my hair I get good results the first day but the second day my roots get oily so I have to wash it or try to tease it but if I use this product the first time i still have the body on day 2.

Cat Walk Toot Boost works great if you follow the directs and use it correctly.  Do not use too much in one area or it take a ong time to dry and your hair ends up flatter than you started with. It is also great for adding a little texture, but beware, it is a little drying!

I am usually highly satisfied with Tigi products, but this root boost is an exception.  First of all, the product does NOT spray out of the can well at all, so it's very hard to get it to spread evenly over my roots.  Secondly, it doesn't smell good.  Rather, it has a pretty harsh, chemically smell to it.  It says that it a root boost spray for texture and lift for all hair types, but I find that it makes my hair SO greasy much faster than other root boosts.  In fact, if I don't wash my hair for two days with other root boosts, I don't notice anything.  If I don't wash my hair for two days with Catwalk root boost, I notice a gunk all over the roots of my hair every time that I try to run my fingers through my hair.  Not only does my hair look dirty, but it feels dirty.  And yes, maybe it IS dirty, but I appreciate a product that can work with me so that I don't HAVE to wash my hair if I'm having a crazy week with the baby and washing and drying my hair is the last thing I have time for.  I won't buy this again :(

I usually like all the TIGI products.  While not my first choice for a volumizer, I still keep a bottle of the TIGI Root Boost around in the event I have hat had, or need a little lift.  Because it lifts your roots, it has an odd effect on teh rest of your hair, so be sure not to use it all over, or you may end up with big Dallas hair. I have fine hair, so sometimes it's a little more than I need, but if I am trying to do something with my bangs, it works ok.  Also, I think if you were trying to do an "up-do" for a special occasion, this would be the product for you. So, overall, I would say that as a hair volumizer it works just average. It is not too bad for a little boost (excuse the pun) and is a good staple to have around if you've got nothing else, or ran out of your volumizing shampoo. The smell was nice, but did not care for the can, since I'm sure it has aerosol in it, which is not good for the environment.
