Spoke to a guy on the phone to make sure order was perfect! He couldn't even type the correct address let alone be any assistance about any hot tub, so we pay for next day air and 5 days later some women on the phone blames us for the typing error this company made? Not only do they have zero hot tub experience they have zero business or professional experience. These people really suck
predatory company BEWARE BUYERS!
My review to the public, shall read;
SpaGuts policy is to avoid costly shipping and repairs of its merchandise by placing the burden on their customers, therefore maintaining a positive cash flow at the expense of its customers. When a company stands behind its products by absorbing such costs, it provides positive awareness to the public that SpaGuts is a company that cares for its customers more than the bottom line. A great example would be EuroSteam, 100% satisfaction guaranteed with NO shipping charges placed on their customers when the customer feels, not having to prove, they bought a bad product!
One has to wonder how greedy a company is to charge me 177.00 when I have already paid so much, (with costs on equipment, out of pocket expense to licensed professional, returned shipping, totaling over $1,000), to have nothing!
Seems so easy for you to do what is right, not what is written, which is clearly predatory,
Go to Amazon!
One of the rental properties I work on has a hot tub and after the last tenants moved out I had to find a part for it before the property could be rented again.
I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on it,so I searched for a website that sold spa and hot tub parts. I came across Spaguts and within a few minutes found the part that I wanted for a better price than I could find it Anywhere else.
So I placed my order and made it clear I needed it asap and even paid for speedy shipping.
Well unless the new definition of speedy is four weeks, then they did not speed my order to me. While I waited for my order to come in from Spaguts I had to go to Amazon and order the part, because at least I knew that the part would actually come in time from Amazon.
So I would avoid Spaguts, bite the bullet and pay the little extra and order from Amazon or another spa and parts company, it'll save you the headache of dealing with Spaguts.
Sent me the wrong parts, wouldn't take responsibility - Ripoff!
Spaguts.com ripped me off to the tune of $550. I spent an hour on the phone with their sales person to order a spapack. They sent me a controller instead of a spapack and then tried to blame me. They said I had to pay for shipping plus $60 to return it, and that's only if I buy the $750 spapack.
They never took any responsibility for their mistake, their inept sales person. Their service manager then took a adversarial approach to customer service and refused to take responsibility for the mistake.
This is a terrible company. This is one of those companies that you hope goes out of business because of their poor customer service, poor listening, and lack of accountability.
Ease of Use
Very difficult to do business with this company. Inept customer service sales people. Poor listeners.
Buyer beware! Adversarial approach to their customers. The customer service manager is not only a poor listener but also rude.
Shipping and Returns
You will have to pay to return their product even when it's their mistake.
Spa repair questions
Outstanding company! Their tehks took the time to walk me through the relpairs needed to my SPA.
Great after purchase service.
I needed some assistance installing the replacement parts I purchased from Spaguts.
They were very professional and talked me through the process.
Thanks Spaguts personnel
Stay away from SpaGuts
I have installed a whole new pack from them some 3 years ago. I now appears that the part with the function keys is not suitable for outside use: The surface cracked and leaks now. There is only one year warranty, so..... it lasts just over one year. The warranty is a real problem. I had a faulty computer board after 2.5 years. warranty was 3 years. The maintenance staff was very friendly, but totally incomptent for diagnozing my problem. This was maybe the trick. Half a year later they agreed that the computer was faulty indeed, but as the warranty period was over now, I would have to pay the full price to get it replaced.
So.... I decided to try the competition. Was much cheaper anyway......maybe on track to the next disaster?
Anyway, stay away from SpaGuts. These people are after your money andand avoid warranty claims.
Do not order parts from spaguts.com
Beware buyers ! Spaguts.com is most certainly the worst company to purchase Spa/Hot tub and pool parts for.
Their customer service is the absolute worst that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. From what I can tell it consists of 1 employee. When calling in to report a problem expect to hold more than 20 minutes on dead air. If you ever reach a live person you will definatly not be treated courteously. The employees working there are rude and centered on one thing, making sure the company get's and keeps your money.
If you have one of their products, beware, it will stop working guarenteed. No if's and's or but's, it will die before the warrently period. I purchased 2 blowers and they both died, the first one in only 10 months and the second one that I purchased less then 2 weeks ago is dead out of the box. If you are looking for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number, forget it as they will deny all claims.
The only way to obtain an RMA number is to use their on-line email form and guess what ? It does not work. Here is what happens. You send them an email via their form and it informs you they will reply back within 72 hours and they never do. Their claim is that they never received it and there is no way to prove that you ever sent a request for one. I submittted 3 requests for an RMA and I finally had to call them and complain and of course since the unit died 3 weeks before the warrenty expired and it took me a whole MONTH to talk to a live person, the warrenty expired and they denied the claim.
I attempted to talk to their "General Manager" Damien and he never, NEVER retured my calls. After 5 attempts calling in and asking to speak with the RMA Manager I finally was connected to Damien. Of course he too was rude and would not listen to my case. I asked to speak to his manager and he claimed and I quote "I am as high as your going to get. The owner of the company is the next level and ho does not speak to customers".
Read closely, STAY AWAY FROM SPAGUTS.COM ! This is a seriously small company, the emplyees are rude, their products are sub-par and you cannot even escalate to the owner of the company Mike Whitney. They will flat out tell you that he will not EVER speak to you about a problem.
