Our dishwasher went out so our landlord had us choose one we liked and we chose this one. I wish we hadn't. Some of the reasons we liked this was that part of the racks could be folded down to fit odd shaped items in. The silverware had a top that folded down so you could slide your silverware in to get it clean better, you could adjust the height of the top rack, and it had a storm wash in it. We have some weird shaped plates and bowls, they are a rounded square. I have found that the only way to get the dishes clean in this is to put the full size and smaller plates in every other. The silverware rack is nice since it is easier to put them away, yet they also have to be loaded every other as well. This does not get your dishes clean very good. Each time it is unloaded you have to inspect to see if the dishes are clean or not. We use Cascade dishwasher detergent with Jet Dry. The good thing is that it uses very little dishwasher detergent, the bad side is if you use too much it is all over your dishes at the end of the cycle. The other thing that I am not particularly fond of is the fact that you cannot turn off the drying on this. I like to be able to turn that off so I can put stuff in such as our cats drinking fountain pump to clean it, when I do that I want the dry function turned off. Either way it works I guess. The one positive is that the Storm wash does a really good job of getting pots and pans clean, now if only that same cleaning power was throughout the entire dishwasher this would be amazing!!
