There are times when I want to wear a little bit of make up but don't want to spend 20 to 30 minutes in front of the mirror. A friend told me about the Revlon Lip Stain and said that they loved it; it's not just a stain but there is a lip balm with it. I was curious about it and when I saw it on sale I picked one up; the Midnight shade is sort of like a plum purple but when you apply it the color doesn't look odd or too wild for every day use. This doesn't have a lot of shine or sheen to it like a lipstick or lip gloss but that's not an issue for me. I like the hint of color that it gives my lips but it isn't something that's going to impress people looking for something that is bold or daring. It doesn't last more than a couple of hours so if you need it for more than that you are going to want to go with another brand. You can apply this like a regular lipstick product but you can also use a brush; I tired it both ways and it didn't really make a difference in regards to how long the product lasted. Revlon really needs to redesign the entire product if they are going to stick with this because there are some design flaws to the tube and the actual stain that could put people completely off of buying this or recommending it to friends. If all you want is a little bit of color then this is worth trying; if you want something that goes on thick and lasts all day then go with something else. I have tried other lip stain products in the past and they were a lot easier to apply than this and lasted longer.
