I bought these speakers for a small room I was setting up for home theater. My initial impressions of the speakers after unboxing was that their weight had a nice build quality to it. Polk quality construction shines through as these speakers look great with or without grills as well. After setup and listening tests, I was particularly impressed by the center channel and how well it delivered clear dialigorue. As far as overall impression, it delivered as good as can be expected for small satellite speakers with crisp detailed highs, but disappointed with sub-par mids and lows. It is notable that only so much can be expected from such small drivers. Therefore it is recommended that you use a subwoofer with these set of speakers as the RM75 does not initially include a sub.

I was shopping online and in several big box retail stores looking for a home theater option that wouldn't break the bank and give our 50" Plasma TV some life. I was seriously considering several home theater systems in a box before finding this Polk product. I am still setting up this unit for optimal listening pleasure in our living room that measures 25' x 28'. The speakers sound great and it gives tremendous feel to the system at a normal listening volume. My only complaint is that there was not more detailed set up and placement instructions directly from Polk. I knew this ahead of time after reading other reviews and what was included but I know that this may be important for some people. I have found most of what I needed on the Polk website as far as set-up etc, so not too big a deal either way for me. For this price range I am hard pressed to think that you will find a better sounding speaker system and one that comes from a quality manufacturer such as Polk. Now off to find a comparable Receiver to complete my new Home Theater.

The RM75 center channel has two drivers and two tweeters - essentially the same speaker as the RM75 satellite speakers except doubled. The performance is really outstanding - vocals are very loud and clear for any types of entertainment - movies, TV shows, and sports. For the price - it's hard to imagine that you could get a better deal than this speaker.  Yes, you can spend hundreds for huge speakers that will sound better - for the price and the small size - this is an excellent choice. The only con is that when using this center channel you will need a sub woofer to reproduce low frequencies - it doesnt perform that well for very lows. It does reproduce very clear highs, and solid and full sounding mids. I have the complete set of RM75 speakers including the sub woofer and together they all sound great in a small to medium sized room.  Again I have that with enough resources yes you can get better quality - but I dont think it's worth it.
