I live in Alaska. During the summer when the sun is out almost all the time I lower my vitamin D supplement intake to almost nothing. When the nights start to become longer and out days become shorter I break out the vitamin D again. I have found that these soft gels are so much easier to take than a traditional vitamin D chalky pill. They are tiny, smooth and slippery enough to go down. The chalky ones are so tiny they tend to get stuck i the throat or back of the tongue. I was skeptical about the whole vitamin D thing, I thought it was all just a fad. I took them because my doctor advised adding them to my daily vitamin and supplement routine. I also got my partner to take them. He is 59 now but 6 years ago the darkness, even though he was born and raised in Alaska, started to make him tired, lethargic and depressed. He was already taking a low dose of 1000 IU but he did not seem to be coming out of the depression. I got him to double the dose to 2000 IU and within about 2 weeks he was a new person. He had more energy and was happier. It really was a huge change in a short period of time. If you live in a dark climate or suffer from SAD I would strongly suggest adding Vitamin D to your routine.

When my Dr. told me that I needed to start taking vitamin D, I immediately listened. According to her, she thinks that it's going to be one of the next vitamins that we discover is extremely important to overall health. Since they can now measure your vitamin D level through lab work, she was able to tell that mine was low. So I got this brand of vitamin D, and started taking it. It's easy to take, and easy to swallow. Plus, this is a brand that is frequently on sale at local pharmacies and drug stores. You can also often find coupons for this brand as well. This all makes it all the more affordable. That was one of my concerns, when my Dr. told me that there was another thing that I needed to add to my daily regimen of pills. But the nature's bounty brand has generally seemed to be quite affordable, and so I haven't minded adding this to my daily pill box. Since this also gives you a two in one benefit, with having the calcium in it, it provides that added bonus as well.

I have been taking Nature's Bounty Calcium 1200mg plus Vitamin D for about a year now and really, really feel better, especially in the fall/winter where I do not get enough sunshine for Vitamin D, nor do I eat properly to get the amount required.  Being female and almost 50, I really need calcium and Vitamin D so this is just a wonderful vitamin for me.

I recently found out about five months ago, that my vitamin d level was severely low. Of course at first i tried the cheapest vitamins i could find and my levels went down a hair but nothing significant. I always heard great things about natures bounty vitamins, so i decided to pay the extra money and try them out. I have been taking this product for over three months now and my vitamin d level is almost back to normal. I'm so amazed that one product from another could make such a significant difference in your health. I'm here to tell you that this brand is the best i have ever used and it's making my overall health better, day by day. I highly reccomend this product if you are suffering from lack of vitamin d, and calcium as well as other ailments. Also these soft gels are wonderful as i have issues swallowing pills, and they are very tiny in size, so no problems swallowing these pills at all. Nature's Bounty Calcium is critical for your bone health. As we age, our bone loses density and we become more prone to breaks.
