My husband and I bought this fan when we moved into our apartment two years ago. When we were looking at the place our now landlord told us it did not have air conditioning, but for the price we got I couldn't complain. The first summer was torture, we ended up buying 10 different fans for our 1200 sq. ft. apartment. This was by far the best one at keeping us cool and not breaking. This fan is relitivly quiet for a fan, though of course there is always some noise it is not loud enough to effect every day life. With the different settings it was perfect because I do not like to be to cold so I keep it on low while my husband loves the artic. I usually keep it on moving during the night so that we both still feel cool but not freeze. A great fan I am so glad I bought.

My best friend used this fan for a year when we lived in a new house that did not have ceiling fans. When we moved into our current house, she had a ceiling fan and I did not, so she gave her stand fan to me. This fan is so flexible and offers many options and it has become a part of my everyday life here in Florida. I sleep with my fan on, so I have it on to keep air flowing while I get ready in the morning. I normally set it on oscillate while I am moving about my room or I use the fan on me while I blow dry my hair so that I can keep cool. Sometimes, I use it during the day/night, but I do not always need it. However, when I do use it at those times, I love the oscillate feature. I normally keep it on low, which is good for me. Sometimes after I go running, I turn it up to medium or high so I can really cool down. I do not use the timer function, but my best friend used to use it so she could fall asleep with it on, but not get too cold. I have woken up from the fan creating too much cold air, but normally it is perfect. I love how flexible the stand is and I love that it is at my height or so which means I can have it focused on me if I need it. Truly, this is a great fan to have for regular use or emergency/unexpected needs. When the power went out in our house two weeks ago, we used my fan with a small generator and it kept us cool in the kitchen/living room for more than six hours! Worthwhile and trustworthy investment!

I received this fan as a gift and it lasted 10 long years through aprox. 12 moves, hanging, outside, in dog area and it oscilates!  By the end of our journey it was duck taped at the bottom.  I lasted a long time.

The fan does a good job of cooling an average size room, is easy to clean, light enough to move easily, and overall does jut what I purchased it to do. In the past I hae had a number of similar fans and I miss the remote control feature, but I decided o forego that feature in favor of a lower cost.
