Something looks and tastes off about the ground beef. I made patties but ended up throwing it away. I could be wrong & not sure what it is but doesn't seem like real beef.

The packaging is appetizing. Unfortunately, the product is not. At least 1/3 turned to nasty grease -- floating in grease. Even after I tried draining and patting the patties to remove excess fat, I ate one and had indigestion for 12 hrs. I had the variety that was applewood smoked with bacon cheddar and you could not taste bacon, cheddar or anything but an awful plasticky burned aftertaste. Did not taste like meat. I don't think I could have added any condiments that would have made it pleasurable eating. I tried a second one a week later, with the same results. I threw the rest away. Good riddance.

These are not good. The texture is just wrong. Really wrong. This didn't even feel or taste like actual meat. Very off-putting "burger".

for the cost of this product, the manufacturer should be ashamed. it had chunks of gristle about the size of rice, some of it could not be chewed. when cooking the fat / grease kept coming out of it. the taste was bland with a over taste of pepper.

This product I had to try twice and two different boxes. Now i was raised on a beef and Angus farm and never have i tasted meat like this. I tasted like it had alot of additives to the mean. I cooked em on the grill and the stove as directed on box but still got that fake taste or weird taste like something was off. So yeah I might just pass on these again especially for the price. Keep in mind this burger is the size of your fist with NO FINGERS !

If you are currently standing in a grocery store googling reviews for a product like i tend to do before i buy them, then you've found a great freaking burger! I always have to buy 3 boxes of these at a time since it is only 6 burgers per box. They are worth every penny though. the meat is lean, they cook evenly, the cheese does not make a huge mess on the grill. The flavor of the applewood bacon, ground beef, and cheddar cheese is absolutely superb, they smell amazing, taste amazing, look amazing. i can never get away with only cooking 1 box because my family/friends always want multiple burgers. (they're that good) so if you are looking at these burgers wondering if you should buy them or not. Why are you still wondering? JUST BUY THEM! they are amazing and will be the star of your bbq (so long as you're not doing 12 hour slow smoked ribs like i usually do) pick up a box for me too while your at it!!! enjoy the delicious burgers your about to buy < 3

Awful. Terrible taste, terrible smell while cooking. Terrible texture. When pouring off the fat I noticed it had a color reminescent of chicken fat: an off yellow color that reeked of old rotten onions. I cooked it in an iron skillet and have had to scrub the skillet with a half box of salt to get rid of the reek. Even my neighbors complained about the smell (now that is truly awful). Krogers saw nothing wrong with the product. So I'm out of 8 bucks.Private Select? Never again!!!!

This is a hamburger patty that tastes as good as homemade. The meat is lean and excellent quality, and the taste is juicy and fresh. Best of all, it cooks up in several ways. I can fry them and can bake or broil them. But best of all, they are awesome and smoky when grilled over coals on a barbecue for an outdoor dinner. This is a burger that I would feel proud to serve to a guest. They taste so good that they need no extra embellishments, such as marinades and onions, to taste good, although those sure are tasty additions we do for guests. We have been buying these burgers for several years, and the price is not too expensive for what you get. And the fact that they are preformed does make dinner more convenient because we would not have to make our own patties, and when cooking for several people, that saves time. The packaging is good as well, because each patty is separated by waxed paper sheets to prevent the meat from becoming hopelessly glued together.
