Works well, if you're willing to jump through a few hoops...
We received this as a warranty replacement for another Insignia model. It's a very attractive component that is very sleek looking. It's easy to wipe down, as I think we all have issues with dust around our electronics, and has lots of very convenient features. I especially like that it has wireless streaming capabilities with video services like Netflix. I don't think that we've been to a video rental store since we got this thing! That being said it also has some serious issues. After about a week of use it would have a green screen when you turned on the television. No visible menu or screensaver graphic, just a green screen. We returned it. They plugged it in at the store and it worked just fine! They did give us a new one and I assumed all would be smooth sailing. I was wrong. After three days it started doing the same thing only this one also had green and purple blobs when I would try to use the streaming feature. Instead of running what we were trying to watch it was just green and purple on the screen, sometimes with sound sometimes not. I unplugged it and had intended to take it back to the store. My son, not knowing that it had stopped working again, plugged it back in and started using it. We didn't return it, as this seems to be a defect with this product, but instead have put it in my son's room and he just deals with it. If you unplug it it resets itself, so that's what we do. We have it plugged into a surge strip with a switch that we just switch off when it acts up and then switch it back on. It's a major pain to me, but my son doesn't mind.
