Great stand fan for a room

4

This fan is really great! I bought this fan about 2 years ago in the summer when our AC went out and couldnt take the heat anymore, I bought it for a room that was built in the garage so it's really big and this fan does the job. It's big and yet light weight which I liked, the price was right also so I bought it hoping for the best and I got it. This fan blows out so much air it's great, it's very powerful! That's probably the best part. also it has different speeds which is really great! It's great for a big room. I really havent had any problems with it at all in the few years that I have had it so really I have no complaints! I would tell anyone to try it out to see if they like it. It was easy for me to find in stores also when I did buy it.

I LOVE the Holmes Pedestal Stand Fan!!!. This thing has been around for 7 plus years and its amazing! I am always wondering when it'll break down but its still going. We like to run this fan everynight, regardless of the weather just because it has this soothing white noise that we both love and it puts us to sleep. Even my son loves the white noise. He can't sleep unless the fan is on. The fan is easy to clean. I just take it apart about once a year to dust off the wings and put it back together. We run the fan about 9 to 11 hours a night, every night. We also run it to air dry our delicates and it works well. It is very dependable, inexpesnive, and powerful. I love the different settings but the faster settings are very loud but good for drying shoes or laundry. We love this fan and would recommend it to anyone!.

I love my fan

I have had my fan for a couple of years now and I am super happy with it.  I have had two problems  with the fan, but both problems were fixable. 1. the fan tends to make noise everyonce in a great while. Guess what that just means it needed cleaning. The dust gets caught in the fan blades and as soon as I cleaned it and gave it a little greese it was good as new. 2- second problem is the bottom wabbles. All I had to do was rescrew it on and its good as new. Although i've had my fan for sometime it still tends to wobble everyone once in a great while. But I still love my fan. even tried a new one and it wasnt the same didnt even last a month and it started making noise. I won't buy a new fan until I absolutly have to and I think it could be a wonderful gift for someone. I would recomend the all metel one though it seems to hold up the best.  If the fan is pricey who cares at least you know its a good fan that will last for a long time

The best thing about this Holmes fan is its ability to perform its basic function -- it does produce a solid, speedy draft that's sure to cool anyone off in a hurry. The fan has three speeds, and two main adjustments: the bolt in the middle of the stand lets you lower the fan if you need, and another bolt right under the fan head allows you to tilt the head. Theoretically. In practice, every joint in this fan, except the axle and the blades themselves, is impossible to get tight, wobbles and rattles. When you move the fan, the base wobbles around the vertical shaft. The shaft itself wobbles at the joint -- and yes, it's better if you have it lowered by sliding the top part into the bottom tube. The head holds alright, but it doesn't reall want to stay tilted -- and that would be quite a feat of engineering given the spinning blades. The motor and the blades are rather quiet, and this fan would be very nice if the rest of it wasn't basically one giant resonator. As it is, if it's on speed 2, you have to turn up the sound on your tv for sure.
