HP All in One does just that.

I have had my printer for a while. It has been very useful. The inks are a bit expensive and finding replacements cartridges and be tricky. But it works good. Scans fine. Easy to setup. Install the drivers and keep the software updates. The alerts for updates help. Works good with my mac laptop. I would buy another. The latest edition.

HP PSC 1610 Printer

We received the Hewlett Packard PSC 1610 xi All-In-One Printer with our Hewlett Packard laptop purchase. It worked great for the first few months. We used it to print photos, printable coloring pages (for the kids), homework assignments, documents, and printable manuals. The color printed out nicely and the black ink was very clean and crisp. The ink, however, ran out very quickly. We replaced it twice over the period of 4 months with moderate printing. The 3rd time we replaced it, the printer just stopped working. Now the only thing it will do is scan a document. It won't make copies and it won't print anything from the computer. It's outside of the basic warranty so we will have to get a new printer at this point. We've tried using only black ink or only color ink and nothing seems to work to resolve our issue. I am certain that we have the correct cartridge as it's the same as we previously ordered. Other than the printer going out on us in a short period of time it worked well. Use caution with this one if you decide to buy.

We love HP!

We have had our all in one for more than five years and it has been an amazing machine. It literally does everything we need it to with no issues or problems. Faxes go through clearly as does scanning. It even scan pictures very well. It easily connects to new computers/laptops as we have had three different ones over the years connected to this one all in one within a matter of minutes. We have never had to have it in for maintenance or any other issues. This is the second of it's kind we have had and this HP is by far superior. The ink life of the cartridges is also great and it prints very clearly. The only issue I would have is that in my job, I also print legal size and have to change out the paper each time I have to print legal. But, again, for the price, I think this is a great product, inexpensive and very long life.

Hewlett Packard PSC 1600 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I bought this printer because I have always been satisfied with previous HP printers that I have owned. The printer runs a little slow. The paper feed often pulls lots of paper at a time unless you only put about seven sheets of paper in the tray at a time. I now have just resorted to hand feeding each sheet. The printing mode looks very professional. The scanner software is easy to use. The scanner and copier work very well. The 1610 takes up a small amount of space on my desk.. I have owned this item for at least 4 to 5 years. It has kept going and going and going. In fact a bought a new printer on sale just because I keep thinking it can't go on much longer!. BUT the new printer is still in the box. The ink cartridges are easy to replace. It even prints great pictures. You can simply transfer pics and docs from just about any memory card! If it wasn't for the paper feed I would give this all in one a 5 star.

Could have been better

This particular printer by Hewlett Packard worked very well for some time giving good clean print and image reproduction. I used the scan feature extensively as I reproduced old photographs to digital format for family archival purposes and was very pleased with the results. Making photocopies of printed materials was also very satisfactory. It read camera memory cards well and featured several ports for different sized memory cards. Changing ink cartridges was simple. Unfortunately I had increasing issues with the rollers not picking up the paper to catch and feed it through the machine properly. Many times I had to hand feed it page by page which was time consumming. This problem caused the machine to indicate that it was out of paper even though it wasn't. It would also indicate paper jams when there were none. If too much paper was placed into the tray, several sheets would often be picked up at the same time. Overall a mid-grade printer.

Though not the worst, I've seen far better products.

I've never had much luck with Hewlett Packard products, and their printers have been particularly troublesome.  With this particular printer, the printing was clean and crisp, and I seemed to be able to get the same amount of life out of the ink cartridges as with other brands of printers, but it didn't take long before problems arose.  The main problem was with feeding the paper.  Often the rollers wouldn't catch the sheet and would then continually say there is no paper, even when there is plenty.  There have been numerous times when I have had to hand feed each sheet in, making the print time slow and cumbersome.  During these troublesome moments, the computer would cancel printing without my authorization, or, on occasion start the printing over from page one whether I had that page printed or not.  This has wasted much of my time, not to mention ink and paper.  If it actually took the paper, it often grabbed too many sheets at once, causing a jam.  Even after checking the particular printer out, and having it cleaned, it had troubles.  As this has been similar to troubles I've had with other HP printers, I believe it is more a manufacturer error over trouble with one particular machine.  I would definitely recommend looking for other brands, or, if a person still really likes the HP products, to go with a gravity feed printer as opposed to this particular style.
