The HP Officejet J4550 is a good all-in-one. It prints and faxes either black and white or color, and the quality is excellent. It is fast enough for any home use. Unfortunately, the ink cannot be refilled, which means more expense and waste, and thus is not environmentally friendly.

We've gone though 2 of these in the past year. Both times something has happened with the cartridges. The printer tells you that something is wrong with one of them, but you take it out get it replaced/looked at and put in a new one and the issue wont reslove. Sadly HP customer service wants you to pay them to have them troubleshoot, which is always worthless (yes, I've unplugged it, reinstalled the drivers and changed the cartridges). Thankfully my husband (being good with electronics) ahd figured out how to bypass the issue with the color cartridge and we solely use the black. It does print cleanly and quick, but the feeder does have a habit of jamming even when there are only a few pieces of paper. The scanner works wonderfully. correct colors, simple to use and I love it. Overall, I'm disappointed with this printer (both times) and wouldn't reccomend it to my peers. We'll try a different brand and hope for better success next time.

I have been told that hp printers don't lst very long and I am beginning to understand why.  I have have my printer for about a year now.  Each time I try to send a fax through the feeder, whether it's two sheets or more I have to sit and hold the paper to make sure it doesn't jam.  If I don't it will jam and I have to resend it.  The same thing happens when I scan.  It is very annoying, but I don't have the money to buy a new one.  So, I'm stuck with this one.  I would not recommend it.

This all in one office machine has helped in a lot of ways to make things easier to copy when a copy is required and faxing items to places that i would have to go to a location to do this is a great saving in cost for the type of things i have to do and the relatives that live in my hopusehold at the present time. This has helped in a lot of ways with school work for my relatives as well me . dont see how I funtion without it in the past. so as well as being easy to use it has benn a great savings to me and my family

The HP Officejet J4550 is definitely the all-in-one printer/fax/scanner of choice. It does it all and it is very price effective for what it has to offer. The only downside I see is it doesn't hold very much ink. I do a lot of printing and I tend to run out pretty quick. But, on the other hand, the cartridges are fairly cheap compared to others. Great prodiuct!

My husband bought this HP Officejet all-in-one printer 2 months back and it has been his best investment. We don't have to go outside to print or scan our needful things. My kids enjoy when they do their drawings or paintings on the computer and later then get their print-outs.  Its so easy to understand and use. I also scanned some of my old pics. and e-mailed it to my family back home in India. Life has been so much easier since the all-in-one printer came, no more going to the library to get copies or printouts. I use it everyday to print coloring pages or other activities for my kids. Its fun and useful. HP sure has done a great work of inventing this al-in-one product. The features of the product are good, no complicating setup, we also get updates from HP. I just love this product and its one of the best printers I ever had. It does'nt take much space and can be stored easily. I am proud to be the owner of this product.
