We have had the HP Deskjet F4235 for about a year now and it has been great for in home use! I love how simple it is. I love that it allows us to scan items as well. It is easy to read as well as user friendly. Compared to other printers, I am not sure how well it does on ink usage. I do not print a lot of things but still seem to go through quite a bit of ink. That kind of stinks due to the price of ink cartridges! But you will have that cost with any printer. I love that it easy to use for those of us that might not be technically savy....I thought I might not like it when I first received it because it looked more complicated than our older one but I couldn't have been more wrong. If you are looking for a simple printer than this is a great option. That is really all I needed it for but have taken advantage of the scanning properties many times as well. It is also very affordable as well!

Great for printing, speedy and accurate.  Doesn't print half pages in multi-tones like some cheaper printers.  Only problem is if you run out of ink it will not work not even to scan on to desktop for future printing.  Keep ink on hand and You'll have a relativly cheap printer that will get the job done.
