I received the GoPro HD Hero 2 video camera as a Mother's Day gift several years ago. Initially, I was very excited about this gift because I would finally be able to capture all those special family moments! However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when I attempted to use my new video camera! I am the first to admit that I have difficulty mastering technological gadgets, but frankly this GoPro HD Hero 2 is ridiculously complicated to operate! I spent countless hours reading the owner's manual and I still could not figure out even the most basic features on this video camera. Seriously, learning to use the GoPro was extremely frustrating! Performance I honestly can't rate this video camera on it's performance because I ended up exchanging it for a different make and model after only owning the camera for a few days! I can say it was way too complicated for the casual movie maker that I am. Design The GoPro HD Hero 2 is poorly designed. I found that it is bulky and uncomfortable to hold for any length of time. The controls are difficult to operate and the overall design of this video camera is not very practical or functional. I ended up returning the HDPro, and purchasing a less expensive camera that is easy to use and suits my amateur film making abilities just fine!

I purchased a go pro hero 2 and absolutely love it. It fit my needs perfectly. I have used to while riding my quad and while snowboarding. I love the quality of videos it takes and very glad I purchased it. This product is very durable as well as has many accessories so you can fit it to the event you are needing.

I have been the owner of previous GoPro versions and I can say that this is a great improvement over the previous generations. The best part about GoPro is that there are so many accessories available and I have almost all of them and used all of them. The menu system is very easy to navigate and change settings to what you find necessary. The GoPro is very durable. I have had my GoPro unfortunately fall off my car while filming at the track and with only some scratches on the outer casing I was able to put it back on my car and shoot some more video. I have gone diving with it and been able to catch some great footage. The only downsides I can think of for owning this GoPro is that it is difficult to view underwater footage if the water is even a little murky and that accessories are somewhat expensive. The GoPro gets heavy when attaching accessories like the LCD BackPac and BatteryPac. Overall the video quality is good and I recommend this product to all of my friends.

I have both the GoPro 2 and 3. The 3 was a christmas gift but I will probably return it because the 2 does just about everything the 3 does and does it just as well. The GoPro camera is a fun camera that is portable and you can go skydiving with it. It takes great video and I would recommend it. However a Canon or Nikon digital camera can do just as good of a job so if you already own one of those there is no need to go out and buy one of these. Performance The video quality is good and I can upload my videos easily. Battery Life As with most digital cameras it uses power quickly but I think it is a little better than most. Durability It has survived a fall froma bout 5 feet up and still works fine. Also all of the features still work great. Ease of Use It is a little complicated to find all of the features on it but if you read the instructions you will be using your camera soon enough. Design It is meant for action and it does perform great.
