TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE CREAM 0.1% works for Dry Skin!!

**TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE CREAM 0.1%** is a prescription cream that my mom was using and she gave it to me to try, also. Glad she did because we both basically have the same extremely dry skin and she wanted to see if it would help me. I use it on my hands the most because it forms a rubber-like barrier when you first put it on. It doesn't smell very good at all, which is the problem with most prescription ointments. The manufacturers should really do something about that -- give us some great-smelling creams. Just because it's prescription doesn't mean you should smell like a hospital or medicine cabinet after applying it. I usually only put it on at home just for this very reason. It comes in a gigantic jar, holds 1 pound of cream, easy to apply right after a bath or shower when you're still moist 'n somewhat supple -- for dry skin sufferers, that's about 33 seconds. So, apply generously to your problematic areas, then pray it'll last longer than two hours, ha. No, this stuff lasts through a few vigorous hand washes. Try it and see -- just try not to wear it in public. ;)  **Signed: Heloise (with a twist!)...*****Love you, dah-ling!***

My skin improved after using it in one week.

I was given a prescription for the Fougera, Triamcinilone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.1%, for my severe posion ivy.  I was so swollen on the arms, face and neck.  My doctor felt that using this cream would help with the irritation and swelling.  Being so miserable, I didn't care what he prescribed as long as it worked. The cream comes in a 80 gram tube.  There is no smell, which makes it great for applying to the face.  There is no coloring to it, so that makes it to where it won't leave you pink (as some medications do).  It doesn't take a whole lot when applying to the affected areas.  I just dabbed it on the posion ivy areas with a cotton swab. Now, this medication does help in preventing itching, swelling and irritation.  With the main ingredient being a corticosteroid agent, it doesn't take much.  It is suggested that you don't apply bandages over this medicine.  Which I would assume to allow the skin to breathe.  I started noticing that it was working in one day.  WIthin a week, my swelling, itching, and irratation was gone.  Now when my poor little dog lost her hair due to an allergic reaction from her new shampoo.  I used this to help soothe her skin.  I know it isn't made for dogs, but it worked.  She was no longer galded red, itching and swollen.  If you know anyone that is suffering from a severe rash or skin ailment, I would suggest asking the doctor about this medication.  I always have a large tube on hand due to living in the country.  We are always getting into something that is causing itching or some kind of bug bite.
