The FoodSaver FSMSSY0200 MealSaver Vacuum Sealing Appliance is an okay product. It's not terrible - but, it's not great either. This product is wonderful only if you want to spend a fortune on the bags and the containers that you need to use with it. Not many bags come in a box, either, so to me it's kind of like getting ripped off. The company makes a statement saying that the machine will have paid for itself within a certain amount of months and it's so not true. This product is expensive and overpriced in my opinion. Due to having a coupon, we did purchase a box of the bags and have used a few of them. However, certain foods that you need to put in the bag, you may have to freeze first and then suck the air out of it. And if products are "moist", you may need to put a coffee filter or a paper towel in the bag, under where the air gets sucked out. That is never told in the instructions, but a family friend helped us discover how well it works when you do that. If I was to do it all over again, I would not purchase this product. Honestly, it's not worth it, with all the different expenses you have to deal with.
