Great product

5

I have purchased and own the Crofton Water Boiler/Hot Pot for about a year or so now. This hot water boiler pot is awesome. Just like from the olden days but up to date in style and color. I have always found it easier to make my instant oatmeal or cream of wheat using boiling water from the pot on the stove. It is just much more convenient than using a regular pan and since all you do is put water in it you do not even have to clean it often just dry it out. This Crofton Water Boiler/Hot Pot is also good for making hot chocolate and instant coffee or instant cappuccino. You just empty the packet into a cup and pour in the boiling water. I really do love this hot water boiler as it is very convenient and not only that it is also very affordable. I think you would really love this product. I would certainly recommend the Crofton Water Boiler/Hot Pot to all of my friends and family. This is also a good idea for a gift. I really do love this product.

Really awesome little pot, you will be amazed at what you can do

Wow, how amazing this thing is. It heats so quickly, it is great for everything from instand soups, ramen noodles, hot coco, etc. We use it alot. Never had a problem with it at all. It does get extremely hot, so watch the kids, even though it is easy enough for them to use, I wouldn't want them to burn.

A perfect college appliance.

4

I have this Hot Water Boiler in my dorm room in college. It's a quick and easy college appliance. Size: A bit bulky but small enough to fit underneath a bathroom sink cabinet, or under your dorm bed. Noise level: It sounds like any other water boiler. It's like a static noise that's hardly audible from outside a closed door room. Speed: Boils my hot water in 2-3 minutes, maybe less. Functionality: Open slit makes it easy to pour, the steam slightly leaks out of the sides though. Cleanliness: A tad bit difficult to clean in the inside but when just boiling water it's easy to just rinse out. I use the Crofton Water Boiler mainly for Hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. It's great for a small dorm hall. It's quick and it's efficient. I recommend this product.

Water Boiler is a good value

4

I have the crofton water boiler and it has worked pretty well and boils water pretty quickly. It is a pretty good value and it makes boiling a cup of water much much more convenient than boiled water in a pot on the stove. All you have to do is open the lid, turn on the faucet and fill it up, push the button, and within a few minutes you have hot or boiling water. I really can't think of anything bad about it. I guess it could have a better looking design or like those more expensive water boiling pots that keep the water hot, but this is much more economical in my own opinion. I would say that if you don't have a water boiler you should get this because it is very convenient for me to use and other people too.

Great for students

4

This is a great product to get for your recent graduate who is headed off to college. I recieved it as a gift at my high school graduation party, which was five years ago and I am still using it today. It has so many different uses! The plus side for the students is that this can be used in a dorm to cook many different things without needing a kitchen. I've used it to cooke spagetti, macaroni and cheese, ramen, vegetables, pierogies, boxed pasta dishes, and so much more! Not only can it be used to cook foods, but it boils water VERY fast so it's great to make instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate, anything! The best part is how fast it works. It heats up and gets to a boil much faster than using a pot on a stove, which is why I am still using it now even though I have moved into an apartment with a full kitchen. Another plus is that it is very easy to clean. Simply wipe it out and its ready to go again!

CROFTON KETTLE DOES THE JOB AT 1/3rd THE PRICE!

5

I am a man who happens to prefer instant coffee over perked due to ease of use and ability to control the strength of that particular cup of coffee.  My wife is a hot tea lover.  6 years ago, I bought a Chef's Choice electric water kettle and loved it.  Recently, the electrical contacts in the base became 'tarnished' to the point I would have to rotate the pot on the base to find the 'sweet spot' where it would make electrical contact and start it's heating cycle.  This wasn't dangerous and could be easily fixed if I wanted to go to the hardware store and buy a small round file to insert in the hole in the base the pot fits into (and makes the electrical contact) to polish up the contacts, but I didn't want to go to the trouble plus round files are fairly expensive and I had no use for one other than this one time.  I called Chef's Choice and they had a flat rate to fix it, but by the time I went to the hassle of finding the right size box to put it in and paid the flat rate plus the shipping cost, the price was about equal to buying a new one, so I started keeping my eye out for a new one on sale.  Even though I was extremely pleased with the old Chef's Choic which served me faithfully for 6 years of hard frequent use, it was kind of 'pricey' so I started to look around.  About 3 monnths ago or so, our neighborhood Aldi's store ran a sale on a Crofton kettle.  I'd never heard of the brand, but I went to take a look at it.  Upon inspection, the Crofton wasn't as pretty as the Chef's Choice, but it was a pretty good copy of the features I like.  Knowing about mechanical things I noted the Crofton used less expensive manufacturing methods to accomplish the same task as the old one, but was built very durable and of decent materials, plus it held a little less water than the old one making a full pot of boiling hot water much easier for my wife to handle weight wise. The deciding factor was that the Crofton cost 1/3rd the price of the Chef's Choice so I bought it.  Some 3 months have gone by now and it works just great.  The "On" light isn't as neat as the lighted switch on the old one, but it does the job.  The water gauge is actually easier to see than the old one, and I am not concerned like I was with the old one that my wife might drop a pot of hot water as she has little strength in her hands. BOTTOM LINE: Any time you can buy a good quality item for 1/3rd the price of the one you had before is a help to people living on retirement funds.  Will it last 6 years like the Chef's Choice?  Only time will tell but I think the Crofton will make it.
