I have bought many jars of this sunscreen. I love it that much. Not only do I use it on myself, I have used it on many of the children I have taken care of for many years. The jar might look small in the picture, but upon purchasing it I was amazed with how much sunscreen really is in the small jar. The jar is large enough to contain enough sunscreen for many many uses, but still small enough to slip inside a purse or diaper bag. The scent of this specialized facial sunscreen is just a little fainter than regular sunscreen. There is really no difference in the smells. I personally like the smell of sunscreen so I like that it smells no different than regular sunscreen. It absorbs into skin well, from little kids to adults. It does last more than a couple hours, although if you're in direct sun I would recommend applying it a little more often than the directions suggest just to be on the safe side. I find it more effective than other brands of sunscreen and its sometimes a little hard to find a sunscreen that is good for your face. And this is a great one to do so. I also use it on little ones arms and legs. I haven't had any breakouts on my face when using it either, which I have experienced when using other brands.

Not worth paying more for when compared to cheaper alternatives that don't include zinc oxide. Scent Not overpowering, which is good Absorption This sunscreen rubs into the skin well, other than that it leaves a bit of a greasy feeling on the skin (as most sunscreens do). Especially if one is in the sun all day, such as at the beach, then it can leave one feeling overly sweaty and dirty, which is not a comfortable feeling. Longevity This sunscreen seems to last about as long as any other alternatives. Effectiveness On the sunscreen side, this SPF 50 sunscreen is about as strong as it gets. As long as it is rubbed in evenly and completely, it will be effective in preventing sunburns (uneven application can still leave burns on thin areas). On the other hand, the zinc oxide doesn't seem to add much difference from regular sunscreen. For me personally, I haven't seen any added benefit from zinc oxide that I haven't seen from regular sunscreens. I would rather pay less for something that seems to work just as well. Ease of Application This lotion is extremely easy to apply, as it simply rubs into the skin.

I purchased this to use on my nose while I was playing volleyball with friends at the beach. It was cheaper than the name brands and since I only needed it for my nose, I did not worry as much about it being greasy. The package claims that it is not greasy, but that is definitely not the case. This product is thick and heavy and when I applied it to my nose, it did not really absorb at all. It clogged my pores, but I hoped because of the fact that it was so thick that it would be better for protecting my skin, but I was very wrong. My nose still burnt and it hurt a lot. This product did nothing to help keep my nose from getting too much sun. I will not be using this sunscreen again and I definitely will be telling my friends and family not to buy it either. Absorption This sunblock for my face did not absorb at all. It sat on the surface on my skin, which gave the illusion that it would protect my skin better, but it did not.
