I bought a travel-sized tube of Dep Endurance Styling Gel Marathon Hold because it fit neatly in my carry-on liquids bag for traveling. Having tried other travel-sized styling gels with mixed results, I wasn't overly hopeful, but this one turned out to be better than I had expected, even though I couldn't use it successfully straight from the tube. Although Dep Endurance Styling Gel Marathon Hold claims to be neither stiff nor sticky, I nevertheless had to dilute it to get even coverage and avoid crunchiness. On the plus side, I didn't have to use a lot of gel to keep my hair in place and reduce flyaways, and it lasted all day (even in hot, humid weather), as long as I didn't shower or swim. Dep Endurance Styling Gel Marathon Hold has a not-too-strong fragrance that doesn't linger. It also washes off hands more quickly and easily than some of its competitors. All in all, I found that its long-lasting hold made up for the need to dilute it.
