Egg Beaters

Egg Beaters is a more healthier alternative to eating eggs. I have tried Egg Beaters in the past several times and I think they taste ok. No Egg Beaters doesn't taste exactly like eggs but if your looking for a healthy alternative to reduce your cholesterol intake then this is the product for you. The suggested serving size is 3 tbsp and is 25 calories per serving. Egg Beaters contains 0 mg of cholesterol and is 5 grams of protein. I haven't consumed Egg Beaters in a while because I prefer eggs. I enjoy the taste and texture of eggs vs Egg Beaters. Overall I would recommend this product but its something I wouldn't buy on a regular basis.

Great substitute

Egg beaters are supposed to be very healthy for you and I believe they have just as much protein as regular eggs. I used to scramble them all the time because they are quicker and easier to use compared to regular eggs, plus they don't make a big mess. I personally don't care for the taste anymore and I'm not sure why. However, I use egg beaters all the time for breakfast casseroles because I don't mind the taste when they are mixed in with other things. Overall, they have a lot of benefits, but they just don't taste like real eggs.

Use whole eggs or egg whites instead

These egg beaters taste like a synthetic egg product (slightly chemical and bland), and they're not exactly affordable either. If you're trying to cut down on cholesterol, then just seperate out the yolk and use just the white, it will taste better than these egg beaters. In regards to convenience, scrambling an egg doesn't take that much time, and it will taste much better than Egg Beaters.

Not worth switching to...Stick to real eggs

These are the WORST tasting products ever eaten. They may cut calories from cholesterol and fat, but they taste over processed. I have had to ADD INGREDIENTS when I cook with them. Added to cake, pie, or a meatloaf, no one could tell the difference. Without the additives, these eggs tasted like the processing machine. Some of the vitamins found in shell eggs were missing or had to be added. A real egg offered more vitamins then its synthetic counterpart. With me, there was a problem with cholesterol, every once in a while using this product to substitute in baking was fine. The biggest problem with this, other than taste, was measuring the exact amount for one egg. With the original Egg Beaters product, it is one fourth of a cup. With the Egg Beater Egg Whites, it was three tablespoons for one egg and one-third a cup for two egg whites.

Absolutely the BEST heart healthy Egg Product around!

My father, and my husband are both heart attack survivors, and I had to learn how to cook heart-healthy meals. Egg Beaters is extremely easy to use, it tastes like real eggs, is undetectable in ANY recipe, and though it COSTS more than a dozen eggs- it GOES FARTHER than a dozen eggs, too. I haven't found a single recipe- except those calling for hard-boiled eggs- that this product does not go into very well, and there is NO difference in the taste of the food! In fact, my picky eater teenagers ate Egg Beaters in place of Eggs for almost 2 weeks, and didn't know it! In fact- everyone ate very heartily, and I had the satisfaction of knowing I was helping my family's health!

Delicious healthy alternative to a whole egg!!

Wow wow wow!!!!! I was totally impressed by egg beaters. For one, they're easier and less messy than whole eggs, and totally healthier. Add fresh vegetables for delicious omelettes in the morning, or scramble some up on a piece of whole weat toast & turkey bacon for a great breakfast sandwich. Either way you hack it, these are great tasting, and are so much better for me. They are a staple in my diet now that I am trying to lose some weight, and they are working great. I was skeptical at first, but these are so delicious, I can hardly tell there's no yolks in there. Wow!

Egg Beaters Cheese & Chive

I bought this product because I was low on eggs at home, it was on sale and I had found a coupon that made the product very inexpensive. I really thought I would need to hide the carton from my kids, because I figured if they saw it they would not want to eat it....something different and all. However, they were surprisingly happy about this product once it was on their plate. The Egg Beaters definitely needed some salt and pepper, but regular eggs don't come with s&p on them already, either! So I liked the carton's instructions, which helped me know exactly how to cook them. I thought this was important since I'd never used them before. The carton explained well just how to watch to know when to start turning and breaking them up in the skillet. My four kids ate a whole carton in one sitting. The only thing I could advise is that I might make another size of carton. With a family of six, one carton per meal isn't enough!!! YUMMY!

Cook and bake with eggs minus the cholesterol, fat and calories.

I've never been a big fan of eggs, but when you consider all the things that are baked or made with egss as an ingredient, I'm sure I consume more than I think I do. As someone who needs to lower my cholesterol, however, I need to be more conscious about the type of foods I eat and carefully read the labels to track cholesterol and make healthier choices. One of the permanant changes I've made is switching from eggs to **Egg Beaters**. **Egg Beaters **are made with 99% real egss, but the yol is removed. Since the yolk contains the fat and cholesterol, removing it makes the egss a healthy option. Egg Beater's then add vitamins to make up for those lost by removing the yolk. The end product is a smooth, yellow egg mixture that tastes nice and light. **Egg Beaters** can be used for scrambled eggs and omelets or as a subsitiution for eggs in just about any hot recipe. The conversion chart on the container is handy for making the exchange. **Egg Beaters** are a smart choice for those watching their cholesterol or their weight. At just 30 calories per serving, you can't go wrong with **Egg Beaters**.
