The Cloud B Twilight Turtle Constellation Night Light was given to my daughter when she was born. She is now almost four years old and still sleeps with it in her bed. She loves that she can change the color of the lights from green to orange to purple (her favorite). She will still look for the moon, which has always fascinated her. Soon, we'll be teaching her a little about the constellations, and we'll use this night light as a source. It lights up her room just enough at night to keep her calm, but it's not so bright that it keeps her awake. It doesn't use batteries very quickly as it turns itself off after a little while...maybe 30 minutes or so. It is very durable as it has survived many bumps and drops and bangs over the past 3 and a half years. We haven't had any problems with it and it is still going strong. It is nice and soft except for the turtle shell which is a hard plastic, but still very safe in the crib. The buttons are easy to push even for a little one.

This is, by far, the coolest night light I have ever come across. It is attractive, there are constellations you can find (7 I believe) and 3 different colors to choose from (red, blue and green). I bought this while pregnant with my first child and I feel like I mostly bought it for myself. I would purposefully go to bed early so I could turn it on and lay there looking at the stars. But really, it does work amazing as a night light for children. It doesn't make the room too bright to keep them awake, but bright enough to feel safe. My daughter would fall asleep on her own, without crying, at 12 weeks old as long as the light was on and she could stare at it. And now at 14 months we still use it ever night. It has a timer that automatically turns the turtle light off at 45 minute intervals, I think...may be 1 hr but I feel fairly certain it is 45 minutes...either way it turns off on its own after giving plenty of time for a child to fall asleep while it's on. I love this night light and I recommend it to everyone that has a child.

This was the best gift i received!! My son is now 13 months and he has enjoyed this simple turtle all the way. I know the product says is for 3 years and up, but honestly it can be for newborns too!! (just supervise and don't put it in the crib, a.k.a. don't be an idiot). As a newborn and infant he loved to watch the stars on the ceiling! we would move it around and change the colors and he would laugh, smile and most importantly calm down. As he's grown he enjoys turning it on and off and changing the colors himself. We now use it as a night light in his bedroom... it automatically shuts off after around 20 minutes, so it's perfect to turn on and leave the room. The other day we were watching a friend's 2 year old and he was captivated just as well. He also loved to change the colors and instructed us on when to turn the overhead lights on and off so we could see the stars; with him I showed him Orion's Belt and other constellations and he said "wow!" I know it sounds simple but it was so much fun and it wasn't TV or a video game. I look forward to engaging in more of this when my son gets a little older. This turtle brings us a lot of joy and family fun... cheesy but true. My son learns the night sky, colors, shapes, etc. and we get to watch him grow and engage in different ways with this twilight turtle.
