Overall I love this printer and have yielded a LOT of great years from it and great quality! Performance I have never had issues with this printer. I am impressed with it's overall performance and would buy brother again and again. Copy Quality I have always received good print quality. The only time I have had any problems is when trying to use the lesser quality ink cartridges. DON'T waste your time! Buy brother!! Ink/Paper Use Periodically I have had issues with the paper feed, but when I switched to a higher quality paper, that solved the problem. Also, in the summer time, there was humidity problems like with a lot of other printers. I find if use the high-yield ink cartridges, I get a better lasting and not just "double" the use, it seems like they last a LOT longer than the standard yield cartridges. They are very costly, however, they are worth it with the quality that I get. Ease of Use It's your basic "printer". Hit print from the computer and it has never faltered. I have also used it for copies and the only thing on my wishlist would have been to be able to use the auto feed for copying or scanning. Scanning or copying one page at a time is a pain in the neck but still easy to use. Durability I have had this printer for several years, since my husband was a salesman and he used it daily for printing reports, etc. I now have used it for the past about 5 years and the only problem I have ever had was the printer cartridges going out too fast because of the amount of usage!! I have printed over 300 pages at a time and it has never bogged down or stopped working!! I am very impressed with the durability of this machine. Design It is a sleek design. Not too large for a laser printer. It sits on top of my desk and does not take up too much room. I have no complaints about the design but see nothing special about it.
