Hi my name is Angel and i have had many speakers in my life, dont believe me go to flickr and search angelzxr4ti. Ive had Magnasperes,Ohm walsh, Infinity kappa 9, RS IIB, RS 2.5, magnepans,altec vott A7, countles Jbl models, Dalquist DQ10, Shahinian Obelisk, electrostatics, electrovoice 15trx so this review is not bias. Yes i lile my 901s no I Dont work for bose im actually a Bail Bondsman in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My first speaker were actually 901s then i met a guy who told me how bad they were. So i went on a 20 year quest that made me actually forget why I was involved in this hobby in the first place. The music. I guess bose made a special pair for me because mine has highs not the the klipsch speakers which after 15 you have to leave te room kind of highs but enough for my ears. The lows are there too but when I have my 901s playing i smile and thats what its all about. I listen to my Cds ,radio,dvd,tv and im happier now then ever. Remember actually listen to a pair of these and make sure eq is on and the they are facing the right way. No you cant use a regular eq on these. They sound good and they are trouble free. You dont need alot of power for them unless you just lile loud music. Ive used some dynaco mkiii and a dynaco stereo 70 works just fine. Hell my buddy made me a classA tube amp from a old console rated at 10 watts and that was plenty for normal listening. Compatibility Have to have the equalizer and place them about a foot away from walls Durability Never have to worry about replacing expensive Emims or ribbon tweeters Design Wish i had a pair of concertos but thats jst because of the piano finish.

Im a club DJ since 1969 and i pride myself on keeping up with the best high end equipment and the bose 901 has been at the top of my list for long time. the bose 901 gives you rich full sound that makes you feel like your in a concert hall (well worth the price).

The Bose - 901 V1 System puts you right at the front row of a live concert!  We asked a few friends what brand of speakers should we be looking at and the Bose brand came up several times for in door speakers.  We also were looking for stand alone speakers as we finally ran out of room in the entertainment cabinet.  We didn't want something so big it took over the room and the Bose 901 system just fit exactly what we were looking for.  They don't tip over easy when our little 9 lb dog instigated the "new thing" which was one of our fears of a larger type speaker set falling on her.  This sounds like a tower speaker but is small with a big attitude.  The sound is very high quality and does sound like 'sound-a-round' in our front room.  Company even has commented on how it felt like they were covered in sound and could almost visualize being at the concert.  Even at low volumes, the sound is clear and soothing.  When we turn it up with guests, the room just comes alive with the awesome sounds of true high quality music.

The Bose 901 VI Main/Stereo Speakers are middle of the road once you strip away the hype, and reveal the true sound quality. As I stated above, the speakers lack highs and lows sound. They try to compensate by having multiple primarily mid range speakers capable of high volume with little distortion. I personally prefer speakers with range of sound, and would be happy to accept a little less volume for broad range sound capability. Bose has created a highly sophisticated reputation through excellent marketing. Talk to professionals who sell a broad range of speakers, and if they are honest, they will tell you..."No highs, no lows, must be Bose"!

They were amazing, I was at a friends house watching a movie, I was so shocked I felt like I was in the movie. Later on I decided to watch a horror. It was kind of funny Because the great sound shocked me whenever a character would yell or scream. This would be best for action movies, You can feel the rumble under you as an exciting scene is occurring. Though It is expensive, it is well worth it in my opinion. Yet these speakers are so small you could hide them anywhere in the room. They make the sound all around you unlike some that just put the sound in front. Best surround sound by far I've heard in a while. Anyone could easily pick them up and move them anywhere you would like. It changes the experience in what you have in a movie, it makes it better though. Bose has always been in the very best categories of speakers in my list, it is first priority, only problem is price, I highly recommend this product.

I wouldn't **ever** consider a different product for quality of sound or performance. I own the bookshelf speakers and the 941-(901's- ?,they are suspended from the ceiling, so unsure of the series)  they are the best speakers of all time. I have owned them for numerous years, and I am satisfied with the performance and sound  after 12+ years

I beleive this is the best quality speaker on the market. I have not heard anouther speaker that compares with the clearity of sound. For its size, its ability to handle low end noise without vibration is unmatched. If you love quality sound bose is as good as it gets,however be prepaired to pay for it.

I'm a Bose fan simply because they are the masters in sound quality.  I've never purchased a product that has failed me yet.  My recent purchase was the above speakers.  As always, the product was easy to use and easy to undestand during set up process.  The most important part that most of us are concerned about (obviously) is the sound quality.  The speakers have a nice rich tone to them.  They appear to be constructed nicely - which is something that bose is just simply got at.  You have those companies that can duplicate anything Bose makes, but their products generally pale in comparison.  The craftsmanship is near perfection and the qualirt of the product is great.  Of course, Bose products tend to a little bit pricer than other brands.  However, I'm definitely coming to the conclusion that you get what you pay for....  if you get a chance to check them out in person before purchase, you'll see exactly what I mean!

      I have had these Speakers since I was in the military ( Desert Storm)  I new they where expensive but, I got a price break because, they where tax free at the PX in Germany where I was stationed first. the way I looked at it it was a investment and they would last which they have. Its like buying good furniture ( I believe its mahogany wood or some dark wood that the speakers are made out of).          They are really fantastic and Bose knows what they are talking about when they say " Direct Reflective". I have always put them in a corner of the (a) room as you are told ( by them) and the sound is like I said so rich and clear there is no comparison against any other speakers. belive me I have compared them against many many types of speakers its just not the same!          They are a different shape and they are not very tall that is what makes it so amazing but, they are pretty heavy for their size. Some one told me it was their ' Cross over network" HuH ?If you want true sound and you want to make the investment I can promise you that this is the Speakers for you . I can say they will out live you!
