I recieved the scissors for a gift about a year ago. It is nice to be able to cut through things like denim and not have the muscles in your hand hurt after. My only problem is that it now will not charge and I am not sure why. I need to contact Black & Decker.

I SAW THIS ADVERTISED AT THANKSGIVING AND HAD TO TRY ONE.  IT DOES TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO.  IT CUTS PAPER SO FAST.  IT IS WONDERFUL.  NO MORE JAGGED EDGE STOP AND START AREAS. IT DOES HAVE A SAFETY ON OFF SWITCH.  HAVE NOT TRIED IT ON PLASTIC PACKAGES YES BUT IT SHOULD WORK WELL ON THEM.  I DID TRY IT ON BUBBLE WRAP AND IT CUT IT WITH NO PROBLEM.

This year, when I was sitting wrapping present after present and struggling with my old scissors and jagged paper, my husband took pity on me and surprised me with these Black & Decker Cordless Power Scissors. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first and I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. They zipped right across the sheets of wrapping paper, helping me to cut in even lines, and suddenly all that wrapping wasn't quite as tedious. We got an added bonus on Christmas morning when we were able to use them to cut through that annoying plastic packaging and all those annoying ties that come attached to children's toys. The kids were impressed, too. The one downfall for me is that they have a short battery life and I have a hard time remembering to plug them in. Overall, though, we have loved them and used them many, many times!

these are a musst have for all homes. normal paper cutting scissors are nothing compared to this. everytime i would buy something such as electronics, they would comin in this hard plastic packaging thats sealed around the edges and a pain to cut and can even result in injuries! i got this because its cordless and doesnt require me to find an outlet and plug it in. its portable (from room to room) and convienent. this cuts those annoying hard plastic packaging like its paper. i no longer get scratched or cut trying to take something out of its package. black and decker is a quality trusted brand and continues to be one of my favorites. these can be dangerous to kids so dont leave them around with little kids. overall id recommend them.

These Black & Decker cordless scissors are the best. I received these for Christmas and now I use them for everything. They cut through plastic as if it were paper! They make getting into those toys that are packaged in the hard plastic a breeze! And they run on one charge forever, I don't think I have charge them but once since I received them nearly 4 months ago. They seem to still be nice and sharp, however I do wish there were a way to sharpen them. If you can't sharpen them then it kind of makes them disposable. And you do need to be careful if letting a child use them they seem to take of and fly when you first try them so they do that some getting used to. But for the price I think they are a great value!

this is the niftiest gadget black and decker has ever come up with. On Christmas morning with children waiting impatiently for gifts to be opened, this little whiz bang of a gadget is like magic. It cuts thru the hardest plastic and you know how tough some of the toys are to open. It is especially effective on electronics as these are almost immpossible to open without a scissors. A scissors will do the job but this scissors is much more effective and simply to use, It is also relatively safe for an older child to use too as my 11 year old grandson uses it and has no problem. We have given these to our son-in-laws for Christmas gifts so they can so for gift opening and it has always been a huge hit!

I received the Black & Decker Corless Power Scissors as a gift from my relative. I was secretly annoyed by the gift as I though it was useless and would be another item that I would collect dust on my shelf and then ultimately be thrown away in a year or two. Boy was I wrong. I have really enjoyed using these scissors (as much as one could enjoy using scissors I suppose). They are very handy to have around and are extremely easy to use. Others have reported poor battery life, but I have not encountered that. I am an avid coupon clipper and over time the ball of my hand sometimes would feel tender after clipping using a standard pair of scissors. I noticed that one afternoon and decided to give the power scissors a try. I was really please at the ease of use and so I use them all the time now.

I just love these scissors, they are my favorite scissors since those safety scissocrs i used to use. I noticed that my kids have a tendency to find dangerous things, so i keep the scissors in the basemant in a locked container so no one besides me can find them! I like the fact that they are rechargeable, so i can charge them when i sleep, and then use them in the morning. It cuts through alot of different material, and tough ones too! Its design is very nice, its really lightweight and it has a very nice grip, and feels nice to use. When it comes to cutting things, you might need to keep using it to get the hang of it, its not something that can be learned overnight. so dont be dissappointed if it doesnt work the first time, because these are some awesome scissors i have!

I just received these B&D electric scissors as an early Christmas present a few days ago from my awesome sister!  It was a total surprise, but she wanted me to have them now instead of christmas morning since they will come in handy for many tasks. For example, opening a shipment of xmas presents ordered online. I am sure anyone who has ordered online knows how some of those packages come sealed too!  Mostly though I was excited to see how they worked on those hard to open plastic packages that seem to be consuming everything these days. I always end up shredding the skin off my hands trying to open that packaging.  For someone like me who tends to be a little accident prone, box cutters are not my friend. I was so excited when I opened these cordless power scissors and started thinking about the possibilities, but usually when I think I got a product that is going to blow me away I use it only to be let down so I charged them up for about 12 hours...okay 11 and a 1/2 but the pile of stuff I gathered to test cut was calling my name!  About a half hour later I was surrounded by a mess of scraps of all types of material and I was happy for the most part with what the scissors have to offer. Paper, fabric, any thin material is a breeze to cut through, but they are powerful so be ready with a slow steady hand. Cardboard is no problem either, but the thicker it gets the more you have to push the scissors through. And as for that hard plastic packaging, well they did not run through it as freely and smoothly as I would have like but they definitely cut through it, getting hung up on thicker parts and stopping, but it can be repositioned or pulled back a little and starts right back again. Overall, I think these will be a handy tool for normal everyday tasks that require cutting, and definitely a blessing over Christmas!

Black & Decker Cordless Power Scissors  It definitely took a while to let myself spend the money on these scissors but I am so glad I did. Knowing I could return them if needed was a part of my succumbing; again, so glad that I did!. From cutting coupons in the local paper as well as those from online, I couldn't be happier. People in the house borrow them to cut fabric as well and they work wonders. Sharp, clean cuts without going astray is ideal.. You know at the holidays those plastic toy and video packages that are a nightmare to cut through? The Black & Decker Cordless Power Scissors cut through those with such ease I wonder how I managed without these scissors! While they can be a bit heavy and a bit noisy, I find that those qualitites are ones I can live with for the ease of cutting. My hand doesn't get cramped and the cahrge lasts a very decent anount of time. I am very happy with these overall.
