My sister had one of these mats when her children were infants, and after seeing how much her kids love them, we had to buy this one for our children. We've gotten lots of hours of playtime on this mat. The star on top of it is the key feature for our little ones. They love watching it flash and play music. It's nice that you can detach the star so even during tummy time they can watch the star go. The mat itself is easy to clean; all the spit up and blow-outs we've had happen on it haven't left a stain yet. It's also durable as far as surviving a toddler playing with it. Our oldest son loves to sit under it when we get it out for our youngest, but after about thirty seconds he's flailing around like a monkey in, on, and around it. It has taken a beating in the last few months but still looks brand new. The only tiny complaint I have is that when you fold it up to store it, doesn't stand upright on its own and when you go to unfold it, you need both hands. A little tricky when you have a baby in your arms. But we love our playmat and we all hum the songs that the star sings!

This was my favorite baby present that I got at my baby shower. I have not been so thankful for a baby toy then I have with this toy. The Baby Einstein Floor Gym has entertained my son for hours and allowed me to get so much housework done and other things that I have needed to do that i would not want to live without it. My baby has had a hard time with colic and also fussiness. This toy has grabbed his attention enough that after I settle him down from his fussiness I lay him under all the toys and the lights and he is instantly attracted. He is drwan to the music. And the music is not an overwhelming or too loud. It also rewards him when he touches the toys and activates the music. He caught on to that feature really quick. I can now see him trying to roll over more to reach the toys at his side. And I think that soon he will be trying to crawl over to get to the toys by the edge. This toy has been a blessing in my days.

I purchased this mat for my son when he was born. It provided HOURS of entertainment for him. He LOVED watching the light and music at the top and plays with the toys all the time. This mat includes many more toys than the other activity mats out there. And the music box at the top with the flashing star is a MUST. I have a Tiny Love mat at my office for when I brought my son with me, and he would CRY because he was looking for the flashing music star and that one didn't have it! I had to bring the star with me in my diaper bag and velcroe it to his other mat when I brought him to the office!! He is now sitting up on his own and he still plays under the mat all the time. He sits up under it and plays with all the many colorful toys. The music is very cute nice sounding music and isn't too loud, it has a nice volume control. I washed this mat and the toys many times and it holds up VERY well. You can also switch the toys with other baby toys that have little hanging clasps on it. We did that sometimes if he got a little bored with the same toys. OVER ALL BEST ACTIVTY MAT EVER!!

My son has been using the Baby Einstein Around The World Play Gym for a couple months now. Whenever he is on the floor we put him on it. He enjoys the star, and pulling on the various toys. I love that it's light weight and easy to store despite it's somewhat large size. Although I'm not completely unsatisfied with the toy, we have had a couple issues. He's gotten himself stuck between the soft bars on several occassions, which isn't a big deal but it's frustrating for him. He's also managed to flip it half way onto himself buy pulling the toys so hard (he's 5 months). Again, it's not a huge deal since the toy is very lightweight. I wish they would have included toys on the bottom of the mat, to keep his attention on the mat while he's on his belly. There are loops so you can attach other toys or the toys from the top, however he enjoys being on both his back and belly at times so switching the toys from the top would be time consuming.

This was a gift from my father in law to our soon to be born son. We let it sit in the box for several weeks after he was born, and I sure wish we hadn't.  Once we pulled this out and set it up, our son LOVED it! There are toys hanging from several spots, and he will play with those for quite some time. There is a light that plays music and changes color, and he will be completely entranced by that alone.  It's large enough for him to roll over while he's on the mat, and he does just that. The edges and the toys on the bars give him reason to want to roll over and see things and play with them.  The toys come off fairly easily, too. This has allowed us to take them off and use them elsewhere for our son to play with. He loves the toys on and off the mat.  I really can't think of a negative thing to say about it. He will probably outgrow it soon (we have a big one), and I hate that he won't be able to use it after that point.

I didn't initially register for this baby play gym. However, my father saw it in a local store and decided he liked this one better than the one I registered for, so he bought it for me. I must admit, I am not disappointed!! This is a very colorful and engaging baby play gym for our little one. While it is a play gym, there are real pictures of animals on the mat part with lots of little things attached to the arms all around it. Our son, now that he can roll and grab, LOVES to roll about the mat and grab whatever he can, attempting to shove it in his mouth. There are animals that hang from it along with baby safe chew slips. There is also a mirror that sits at the very top, but can be moved. The top section has a light that can be turned on and off--it flashes colors. There is also sound that accompanies it, that can be turned on/off and volume adjusted (although it doesn't adjust much). The downsides? The batteries are a little difficult to get to. A Teeny screwdriver is needed to get into it. Another plus? The mat wipes down very well. Our little boy suffers from severe reflux, so it is nice to be able to wipe the mat down when he spits up.

Our three month old uses this gym every day, and has since she was only a few days old.  When she was young, she enjoyed the music and looking at the light.  We would also put her in tummy time on the mat, since it provided a soft, safe surface for her to lay on.  Now that she's gotten older, she loves reaching for the toys and looking at the mirror.  She still does tummy time on the mat, and seems to take notice of the brightly colored animals on the mat now.  I know she will continue to use it for months to come, since it is very versatile.  We like that it is easily transportable - we carry it all around the house so she can lay in it wherever we are at.  Also, the toys attached to it can easily be moved around to suit your and your baby's moods.  It was also very easy to put together, and didn't require any special materials besides a pair of scissors to cut off all of the tags and ties.

I like Baby Einstein products because I know that they will engage my baby in fun activities that will stimulate her mind. This Around the world play gym is no exception. It is very colorful and the padding on the base is soft and very vibrant too. There are many different ways for me to use this play gym. It comes with a detachable globe that I sometimes attach to my child's car seat because she likes to stare at it since it is able to light up. I can also remove the structure with the toys on it and have my child just use the mat to sit or take a nap on. The play gym is great for when I travel because it folds easily and it is not bulky when it is folded. The mat on this play gym is nice because it has many different animals on it like birds, monkeys, and other wild creatures. This play gym also comes with a mirror that my baby enjoys using and the mirror is safe since it has no sharp edges. The play mat is also washable so that is a good thing. It dries well and the colors do not fade.

My son and I love love love this play gym. He has been playing with it since he was four weeks old and is now almost 12 weeks old. I was hestiant at first due to the high price tag but I am glad we spent the money. It is very colorful; and has lots of GREAT hanging toys unlike many of the other mats on the market. It has a detachable light up globe that has several melodies and plays for five minutes on its own or it has a motion detected side but it takes a good bit of motion so when the music goes off I just cut it off and then back on, very simple. It folds and unfolds really easily for storage. The mat is a little small but nothing you cannot live with. The toys like I said are great! There is about six or seven and they are all very colorful. My sons favorites are the black,red, and white panada, the hanging ball with beads, the parrot, and now he is in love with talking to him self in the mirror. I also like there is addition hooks on the the crossbars for your own toys. The mat it self also has hooks for tummy time. The mat is extremely soft and easily washed, as it has been washed a few times as my son has reflux. The globe is also portable and can be hooked to the side of a crib or a car seat! I highly recommend this toy. It keeps my almost three months old attetion for about a good thirty minutes which allows me to wash dishes or do a load of laundry.
