I used this play mat for both of my daughters. It was very easy to put together and it's very durable. If you need to wash the mat, you just simply take the poles off. The flower toy plays music when you pull on the cord, but I always I had to do it because my daughters weren't strong enough to do it at the time. They really enjoyed this mat though and it was great for tummy time too.

I mainly only used this to lay my daughter on so she wasn't just laying on the floor. She didn't really play with it ever. I thought it was cute and would have gotten more use out of it, but I was wrong. This was just one item she just didn't care for. Wish she would have enjoyed it more so I didn't feel like I wasted money on it.

I received this playmate at a baby shower. I wasn't looking to buy one and wasn't sure I needed it but we hung on to it anyway. I'm glad I did! It provided hours of entertainment for our daughter. It was best for when she was about 2-8 months old. She loved the mirror on the side and loved the music that it played. The arms are nice because they can be removed and you can use just the mat if you want. The toys are also detachable so you can move them around, add new ones or let your child play with them without the mat. I wish that it was a little bit more cleaning friendly - it would have been nice to throw it in the washer after a few spit ups but it's not made that way. Overall though, it pretty dependable and will probably be used for at least one more child.

The Bright Starts Pretty in Pink Play Gym is a great choice for parents to purchase for their babies. My daughter loves this and has since we started practicing tummy time. I registered for this play gym while I was still pregnant with my daughter.  I was so excited to receive it at my baby shower.  I registered for this particular gym because not only was it specifically for a girl (lots of pink!) but it was a reasonable price.  When my daughter was about a month old we started putting her under it just to get her used to it.  She started out after a few months kicking the toys that we placed towards the bottom.  She then moved on to grabbing the lower toys and finally reaching up to grab the ones hanging above her head. I loved the flower hanging in the middle.  It was super cute and played nice melodies.  I also liked that I could place other toys that weren't included in the set on the gym for my daughter to play with it.  Even when she learned to sit at 6 months, she would still sit on the mat and play with the toys.  This is a great play gym that will last for a long time.

Me and my daughter love this activity mat! If i had to design one this is exactly what it would look like. The colors are so pretty and girly. My daughter loves hitting and kicking the toys that come with it. It also has extra loops to hang any additional toys you might want to it. It also has loops on the mat itself to hook toys in so they can play while on their tummy. I also really like the material. It is very easy to clean. All you have to do is wipe it with a baby wipe and it cleans right up. When the baby is done with it it folds up so you can store it anywhere and not take up a lot of room. I love Bright Starts toys in general. When I go to the baby section it is hard for me not to get her one of their toys every time because they are so adorable! I would recomment this play may to any mommy having a little girl. It is great to start teaching baby how to entertain herself. The toys really get their attention froma  very young age.

This was a toy my granddaughter uesd from about 3 months to 5 months. She did like it, especially the butterfly that made crackly sounds when rubbed together. She was able to swat at the toys, mostly. However, by the time she was old enough to make all the gadgets work, she had outgrown the toy. Once she could roll over or skooch she was done with the playmat. The playmat seems like a superfluous addition to the "what you need for baby" list. She didn't use it for very long at all and probably would have been just as happy being laid on a colorful blanket on the floor with a toy in front of her. Tummy time is really better developmentally for babies anyway, and I think she would have been just as happy that way. It seemed like this was just another thing baby stores created to make you feel like you *need *one more thing for your baby. I don't think she got enough fun/use out of it for it to be worth the money.

I never had one of these with my first child. So when a friend of mine had one I was curious to find out how much she used it. She said that she used it the most of any baby toy she had! So, when I had my 2nd child she was kind enough to let me borrow hers to see if I liked it. Well, I was so surprised how much I love it! My little girl (3 months old now) has loved to stare at the toys, kick and bat at them, and listen to the music ever since she was only a few weeks old! I finally decided (since I use it so much) to invest in my own. I'm so glad I did. We use this every day. My little girl is smiling so much now and cooing and squeeling in delight as she plays with her toys than hang down! She loves to be held and played with too, but it's so nice to have something for her to look at and play with when I need to set her down to make dinner or put the laundry in! I would definately recommend this to my friends!!

Received this as a shower gift and started using when my little girl was just a few week old just to her the opportunity to stretch and move around a little.  Now it is an invaluable toy!  We have taken the bars off now (she is almost six months and roll over both ways on her own) and just use the mat with toys attached to it.  When she was smaller we used it with the bars with the toys hanging over her and she loving grabbing for them.  The toys and mat are both bright and colorful, very eye catching.  You can also use other toys from the Bright Starts brand, they just about all come with the green plastic loops you use to attach them.  We added the teething bunny to the mat.  This toy actually helped her with learning to roll over- she would use the bars to push herself over, and then before long was able to do it on her own.  Washes well also, of course you will need to wash it and I was glad to see that it held up.

I bought the Bright Stars Pretty in Pink Play Gym for my daughter when she was 2 months old.  She was only interested in looking at the things hanging down at first but now she plays with everything.  This is such a great product. Five toys are included which include a rattle, bead chaser, water-filled teether, plush butterfly, and a flower pull toy that plays 4 melodies. Toy loops are included for tummy time play. A soft, adjustable mirror attaches to the toy bars.  My daughter loves staring at herself while she's playing.  There are toy loops on the mat itself as well to attach the toys there during tummy time.  All the toys are easy to grasp and the mat is easily washed and you just hang it up to dry.  I haven't put it in the dryer ever.  It's SO easily transported and we take it with us whenever we're going to be away from home for a few hours.  What's great about this product too is that a portion of the proceeds go to support Breast Cancer research!  I love this mat and so does my daughter!
