I have my bi-annual round of bronchitis right now; I think. My doctor is amazing and she always knows how to get rid of this nastiness. Again this year, my doctor has prescribed Augmentin (generic) for my illness. I am only on my fourth day (eight pills) and my symptoms have been cut down to about a third of their severity. I have had fewer rounds of choking spells and nose-blowing issues. I can breathe easier now. This is a very potent antibiotic and it needs to be taken with a meal and lots of water. I follow these instructions to the letter. Normally, antibiotics are not a big deal and you don't need to eat to take them. These pills are that strong. Plus, any medication works better when taken with food. The body absorbs it faster. If you get the flu, a cold, bronchitis..., ask your doctor to prescribe this medication and look forward to feeling better quickly and being fully well in ten days.
