I have a history of having Urinary Tract Infection symptoms and then going to the doctor only to test negative for a UTI. It is very frustrating. I'm not sure what causes these false alarms. Recently I began having symptoms such as burning and increased frequency again and did not want to go to the doctor only to be told I did not in fact have an infection, so I decided to try the AZO Urinary Tract Infection Strips. Each box comes with three strips. They are very easy to use and work similarly to a pregnancy test. You simply hold the strips under your urine stream. The test indicates if you have increased leukocytes and/or nitrites. Both of these are indicators of an urinary tract infection. When I took the test the strip gave me quick result showing increased leukocytes. This gave me enough information and assurance to make an appointment for a doctor visit. The test was accurate, I did have a UTI and was able to get medication. I will be using these in the future.
