Rolling Rock Green Light Review Summary

Do you like your light beer to be extra light? If so, then you might enjoy Rolling Rock Green Light. Reviewers point out that Rolling Rock Green Light is very light in body- even lighter than other light beer- and that this lightness gives it a refreshing character. Rolling Rock Green Light is also low in calories, but with these reductions in calories and carbs comes certain disadvantages, like a watery taste and lack of real beer flavor. “Beer was Never Intended to be Low in Carbohydrates”, says one reviewer and another says that Rolling Rock Green Light has “Limited Calories, Limited Taste”. With comments like these, it might be a good idea to read more Beer Reviews and find a beer product best suited to your tastes.

Being from Wisconsin, we've got our fair share of beers to choose from.  Rolling Rock in general is a success story of a small brewery gone national.  It reminds me of the small brewery we have here in Central Wisconsin - the Stevens Point brewery.  Rolling Rock Green Light is my first choice after... review »

Rolling Rock once produced a light beer product, under the lucid title "Rolling Rock Light". The popularity of light beer made it essential to produce a lower- calorie version of the company's regular beer, and the management of Rolling Rock knew they needed to respond with a light beer of their own....

Ready to Try Something New, social drinker, married, into trying new drinks

I'm not a big beer fan. I never really got into the taste and usually when we go out or atend a social occasion, I will choose to drink a mixed drink over a beer. However, sometimes a beer is just the right choice for a quick drink after a long day at work, especially if it is icy cold. This was the reason and how Rolling Rock Green Light came into our refrigerator.

Rolling Rock Green Light beer is bottled in 12 fl. oz. green colored bottles. Each serving contains 83 calories and only 2.4 grams of carbohydrates, .7 grams of protein and 0 grams of fat. That's low enough in calories for anyone...

I'm not a beer snob. I will try and drink almost any beer under the right circumstances. I enjoyed Rolling Rock when it first became mass-produced. However, I don't have the same feelings about Rolling Rock Light. While I initially thought it it was nice to have a lower calorie option, I believe the folks at Rolling Rock sacrificed taste when they reduced the calories.

I don't mean that the taste became worse. It's almost nonexistent in Rolling Rock Light. Rolling Rock was never one of the more full-bodied beers to begin with; its low-calorie sister is so diluded that it almost seems like bottled...

I have never had the original Rolling Rock, so I can't compare the two. I'm not really a conosuierr of light beers, either - I typically stick to my Coors Light. Rolling Rock Light has a crisp flavor and is best served cold. It's a light beer, so don't expect too much taste.

I have givin this beer a couple of trys, but have never liked it.  It goes flat the second that you open the bottle and the beer is one step away from being air.  I tried it once it came out. And then a year or so later just to be fair.  But I would have to say that if you are in a store and the only thing other than this that they are selling is motor oil, will give me the 30 weight.

I love the original Rolling Rock.  This however is nothing like it.  I will never order it again.  It has no flavor, like drinking water.  It may be low carb, but unless its completely calorie and carb free (which it's not) it is not worth it.  I can think of any number of better ways to drink calories.  For low carb beers I think Mc. Ultra Amber is my favorite.
