I don't use this for gaming!
So, I know this is made for gaming, but you can use it for just about any program. Personally I like to stick with the WASD keys on my keyboard when I play games on the computer. However, the ability to set up all those custom keys really comes in handy for programs like photoshop. I like to keep my left hand on this thing while my right hand is holding my stylus and drawing on my wacom tablet. I don't have to be constantly looking at and away from the keyboard to find the short cut keys I want to press or stretch out the fingers on my left hand in weird ways to hold down shift+ctrl and whatever other keys I need to be pressing, with this gaming keyboard it's just a click of a button and no looking around at all. You just have to remember what you set the keys to and the becoming, after that it feels a lot more natural.
