Made for Gaming

As you can see from the text streaking down the side of the headband, this headset was made for gaming and designed with the gamers in mind. I've been searching all over the internet for headphones that match these qualifications: comfort, good for gaming, and cheap. I wanted headphones that didn't have leather padding, because I've wore those before and not only are they hot, but they get uncomfortable. So I wanted some other material for headphones. Sennheisers headphones met all the qualifications except one, THEY'RE FREAKING EXPENSIVE.  I wasn't willing to spend that much on those headphones. Then I stumbled upon these 377 headphones and I was amazed at the price. So I bought them. I have no regrets buying these. Not only are they comfortable, but they also sound amazing. I have no complains about this headset. I intentionally bought the open ear headset because I didn't want to be completely oblivious to my surroundings, but if you're looking for that complete immersion then I would buy the 367 closed ear model.

Plantronics gamecom 377 headset is a great way to game. This is a big name among audio equipment and have several different Plantronics headsets available right now. This is in my opinion one of the better ones. The cops are beefy and the headband that goes around the top of your head is quite sturdy. I wish the court was a bit longer. I have a lot of different headsets and I will tell you that the Sennheiser and the Logitech headset have an extremely long quarter which is beneficial to someone who likes to walk around while listening or walk around with taking a phone call. These Plantronics headset is of exceptional value and quality make no mistake but the cord it lacking if you ask me. It is a no nonsense type of headset was great simple looks. It is mostly black and dark colored and does not have any weird pictures or anything along those lines.

I purchased the Plantronics GameCom 377 Headset after my headphones broke for the umpteenth time. I came to the conclusion that it was because I was always buying the cheapest headset I could find. So I started looking at the reviews for the different brands and Plantronics was always among the best. This headset has been working great for two years now. The sound quality is great, much better than the cheapo ones. And though some might see the large size as a problem, I hardley notice it. The large size lets it fit comfortly over the ears without applying too much pressure. And while I can't say much about the microphone as I haven't used too many, I can say that it works great for online gaming. I'd recommend this or any other Plantronics product to any of my friends.

Enclosed but opened? - Plantronics GameCom 377

I am an RTS gamer. I don't need theather quality sound. As an RTS player, sound is mainly used to gather information. Dobly 5.1? Pounding Bass? Don't need it to play. What I need is to hear my game with headphones I can wear for a long time. I also need a decent mic and an inline control for volume and mute so I can adjust without stopping gameplay. The GameCom 377 delivers all that at the right price. Its not too much headphone and its not too little either. The earpad cushions are perfect. They allow for a tighter fit without you feeling like you're head is in a vice. Having a stow-away mic is nice. I don't always use it to play but its nice to know its accessible when I need it. The inline controls are basic and does the job. My only gripe with them is that the volume dial could be less slippery and easier to use. When you're in the middle of a game but one of you're teammates has their mic volume up high, the last thing you need to do is spend time fiddling with the volume dial. Minor gripe only. Another very minor gripe is that after long periods of gaming, you start to feel the tightness of the headband. This makes sense since I've had it squeezing my head for hours but my earlobes start to get sore. Nevertheless, i do have a big head and would think this would be less of an annoyance for the normal sized gamer. The GameCom 377 is uniquely positioned at its price point. One would be hard pressed to find a compfortable open-ear (or closed for that matter) that has the look and feel of a high-end gaming headset yet leaves behind the highend feathers audiophiles seek. Keeping the comfort but leaving the costly high-end features that some gamers like me don't need.

GOOD HEADSET SOME FLAWS

4

This headset is Very and i mean Very big its enormous, yet it is still a good headset i mean yes this headset is big but it gets the job done. This headset has soft foam padding for the ears and it fits around your ears snuggly. the headset also feature and awesome mic that can be stored away in the headset for storage when not in use. This headset is great for gaming yet there are still some flaws. The headset being as large as it is makes it heavy and very uncomfortable to have on for long periods of time (being its heavy) the ear cups go over your ears so its like your ears are in a cocoon and can be unconfortable when the foam rubs against your head. The headset at first is very very tight. I got a hudge headache when i first started using it it felt like it was clamping down on my head. Also the headset does not have the best mic but it does work well. Dont get me wrong with the flaws it is still an excellent headset and works very well. Just remember if you like bulky headsets and the occasional headset then get it. if not then get a more comfortable one.

Great sound --- Double as ear muffs!

I purchased these because I have been doing some transcription work and sometimes trying to listen through my speakers isn't very productive. Plus, I needed a mic for a few projects. When I received these I was immediately impressed by the appearance of the headset, even if I only plan to use it at home, most of the time. I love the fact that the mic folds into the band of the headset when not in use, for storage. I am also pleased with the volume adjuster on the cord, which by the way is super long --- a definite plus! If I were to say there is something that I do not like, it would be the fact that there are separate plugs for the audio and mic portions of the mic. From what I can tell, unless the computer that you using requires a separate plug-in to access the audio, then it isn't necessary. But, I guess, in the long run, it is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. I took them out for a spin when I ran errands, after first receiving them, and they were great as far as sound with my iPod...and they also did a really good job keeping my ears warm! :) They also work with my phone...the audio and the mic.
