Natural and organic should not mean budget busting or breaking the bank (at least to me!) and I like products from Nature's Gate like the Organics Deodorant Sticks in Lemon and Lemongrass scents in large part due to their reasonable prices. Becoming more health concious means that I now pay more attention to what I put on my body as well as what I put in it. Reading more about ingredients going into the formulation of personal care products has meant I agree with the recommendations that people shop around for natural alternatives to some products like deodorants and antiperspirants which contain alot of aluminium. Reading about it is one thing, actually finding a product that works can be an exhausting experience! Nature's Gate Organics Deodorant Stick has some great ingredients like Glycerin, Herb hydrosols, Witch hazel etc and will be gentle on your arm pits.The stick is baking soda based, in that the active ingredient baking soda helps neutralize odor. I recommend trying this deodorant whne engaged in light physical activity because Nature's Gate Organics Deodorant Stick will work great. However, if your work will involve alot of physical activity then this stick is not for you because it does not stop perspiration (or sweat!) nor will it interfere with the resulting wetness. Eventually, this wetness will overcome the baking soda and with increased wetness comes the odor.

I have used the nature's gate organics deodorant but I had to stop using it because it did not work as well as I would have like it to work. I had to use it more often because it not last as long as other deodorants. Along with after long periods of use it started to irritate my skin and cause skin breakage. I loved the scent and that it's organic because I've been trying to use more organic products. But this product did not work for me. Maybe it will work for others but it was not good for my skin in long periods of use. I forward to find a product that is organic that is good for sensitive skin and lasts longer.

I like the idea of using an all natural deodorant, I think they are safer than conventional deodorants.  I bought the unscented version of this deodorant from my local Whole Foods Market.  By the end of the first day of using this product, my underarms were itching horribly and were pink in color.  I thought it was a coincident, so I tried again the next day, with the same results.
