In June my DVD player started giving me a lot of problems (even though I only had it less then 2 years!) so I decided to just get a new one. (It was really cheap anyway - I guess you get what you pay for.) The more I thought about it though, the more I thought it would make more sense to invest in a Blu-Ray player (since DVD is going the way of VHS - In my honest opinion). Besides, I watch A LOT of movies and I deserve something  good!

I had to really do a lot of research though because I can't waste that kind of money.  I wanted to make certain I was buying the best player. I read reviews on websites like PC World and CNET until I was blue in the face! I had no idea it would be so hard to make a decision.

Finally, I chose the LG BD 390. (Prices are dropping! Got mine for $350 - now they are even cheaper. I Knew that would happen, but I didn't want to wait.) I love the look of it. Very modern but simple. It is very user friendly! The picture and sound quality are incredible. I had seen advertisements on some DVDs about Blu-Ray and how great it looks, (and I saw the difference) but it really doesn't sink in how really fantastic it is until you can watch a full length movie.  For a movie lover like myself, this is the ONLY way to go! (But I can STILL watch my old DVD movies because blu-ray plays both and even converts them into HD ... and of course you can still play your CDs and everything else you could play on your DVD player)

It is completely wireless and it was so easy to set up. With a push of a button it located my home network.  I am a Netflix subscriber, and this player connects to Netflix so that you can watch movies instantly. (They have an excellent selection of movies available to stream - some even in HD) I am really getting my money's worth out of my subscription now! I LOVE watching movies instantly while I wait for my next blu disc to come in the mail! You can also connect to YouTube and  Cinema On Demand (which I don't use because I have Netflix) It even comes with Nero software so that you can view your media (photos, videos etc.) right on your tv! I almost forgot to mention that it reads the disc very quickly as well. I heard that when blu- ray first came out it took forever for the disc to start playing. Not anymore. LG boasts the quickest disc loading on the market.

I have had my player for over two months now and I am still in love with it. It was worth the money! I use it every day and it is just awesome.  I can't praise it enough! I definitely made the right decision.

I got the BD370. The main difference between that one and yours seems to be wi-fi and some internal memory for BD-Live. So far it's really cool and I LOVE the Netflix feature!!

I'm on the market for a Blu-Ray player and this sounds like a good one. Thanks!!!
