This is my first blu-ray player. I was amazed at all this little guy can do. I can connect my ipod to it get on the internet and play Netflix. The only thing I kinda have a problem with is when I put a blu-ray disk in it takes a little while to load but everything takes time so it isnt a big deal. This product plays some of my childrens very scratched dvds and I am so happy it does because disney movies are not very cheap. This product has done nothing but good for my family and I. It is very easy to use. I have never used this brand for electronics until now and I think it is a pretty good quality. My children have shoved 3 dvds in it at once and after carefully pulling them out all the dvds still worked perfect and the blu-ray player still plays like the first time I used it. I also love that it works perfect with my T.V. Performance When I put a blu-ray disk in it takes a little bit of time to load but besides that it is great. It plays scratched dvds that my laptop wont even play, and it play perfect. It never skips, I havent seen it ever get hot. Playback Quality This is a all around great blu-ray player and it isnt to expensive either. Sound Quality I have been blow away with this blu-ray player and have compared it to my friends. My friends agree that they like mine better just because of the sound. Durability My children have tried their absolute hardest to break this blu-ray player and have not succeeded. Ease of Use i use this blu-ray player almost every night. i have taken it to friends houses to use. It is light weight and easy to plug into friends T.V.s.

This is by far one of the worst blu ray players I have been unfortunate to purchase. Performance Upon turning on this blu ray player it will take at a minimum 2-3 minutes before you can do anything. It is as if it is from decades ago and needs to warm up. When it warms up finally it takes another 10-15 seconds once you push the eject button for the tray to open up for removal or insertion of a disc. Not a player for someone who values their time. Playback Quality At times this player will freeze trying to catch up and pause on its own. Sound Quality Sound quality is decent but I believe most of that comes from the quality of your tv speakers. I've found out a surround sound system is needed on most. Durability Being this thing operates like it was made 30 years ago it is durable as I have packed it up and moved several times. Ease of Use About as simple as it gets. It doesn't have a lot of the fancy features that many high end models have so it is quite simple to operate.

Got this blu ray player about a month ago ( yes, I am a little behind on times lol). It was so much less than the other brands, and seemed like it had the same features, although not as attractive. Got it home, plugged it up with the help of the hubby, and viola! super easy instructions. again, not that pretty looking compared to some, and seemed to be pretty light and a little cheaper made, but we just needed it to play blu rays, not to create a movie theater. and that it did! no problems, clear resolution, easy to use. The only issue we have had is the lag when is connected to the internet, the movies and shows stream just fine, but browsing takes a bit. But i dont mind with the money we saved.

The more he has,  the more he wants.  My husband was not happy without a Blue-Ray player to go along with his other viewing "toys," so on Black Friday, he went shopping and chose a Magnavox Blu-Ray Disc.  He scored a great buy at Best Buy.  He brought it home, and it was connected in nothing flat.  The picture quality and sound are excellent.  A built-in feature enables us to connects to our in home wireless LAN network so that we can stream internet  content.  Neat, huh?  It was necessary to purchase a HDMI cable so that we are able to play DVD's and upconvert them to 1080p for enhanced viewing.  The Magnavox comes with a remote (to add to his collection)  that is user friendly.  All in all, we got a Blu-Ray player that gives us an excellent quality picture, and the sound is true with no distortion.  We  are very satisfied with our Maganvox Blu-Ray player, and we have recommended this Blue-Ray to friends and family members.  Overall, the Magnavox was a no brainer purchase because we have had other Magnavox products in the past and we never never disappointed with their performance.

I was excited when we received the Magnavox Blu-Ray 5120 model as a gift.  I finally was going to experience "the magic of blu-ray"!  Honestly, I'm not that impressed.  First off, the machine is slow.  How is something of newer technology gonna be slower than the old regular dvd player that I had?  It takes at least 30 seconds or more for it to open to put a dvd inside of it.  Now, that does not sound like a long time, but standing there after you have pushed the "open/close" button and it not responding is quite maddening.  Mostly because I always think that I somehow did not push it hard enough, or something.  Then I go to re-push, only to have it finally starting to open when I put my hand near it.  As for the quality of the movies shown, I haven't noticed much difference.  However, I heard that in order to really feel the wonder of a blu-ray, an hdtv is needed.  In any case, it has worked for over a month without any problems.  I still think that it could respond faster to touch, though.
