I love this piece. It looks nice with our bedroom furniture and is perfect to hold all of those small pieces. I use this dresser for a combination of jewelry and undergarments. The top is nice with the mirror and the felt liner. I used that to hold jewelry pieces that I wear every day. The rest is great for occasional jewelry pieces and undergarments. Overall, a great piece for a great price.

I purchased two of these 6-drawer chests for each of my kids rooms. I wanted something inexpensive but also sturdy in light of the fact that I have caught one of my kids standing on the furniture before now. I'm wouldn't describe myself as a handy-woman, I'm just of average skill when it comes to assembling furniture however I was relatively easily able to but these chests together following the enclosed instructions given in the flat pack. The only point of assembling in which I struggled a little bit was getting the drawers into position but I think on reflection, I wasn't positioning them correctly. They are well manufactured, sturdy and heavy duty, a perfect fit for my boys who, lets be honest, rather resemble a bull in a china shop! If I could tweek the design at all I would suggest that the base of the drawer be made out of a product which is more sturdy. The drawer bases are slightly bendy and can't withstand anything heavy being placed inside the drawers. So they are perfect for clothes etc but not for books. In spite of this slight manufacturing error I would certainly recommend them for purchase.

I am absolutely in love with this item! We originally bought it for our daughter's room when she was born to hold all of her baby clothes, but once we got her something bigger it went straight into our bedroom! It fits perfectly in a small space, but still provides lots of storage space. I personally use it for socks, underwear, etc., and the top part is great to keep jewelry and other small items. I would highly recommend this piece to anyone! We have recently moved so the nearest Ikea is 2 hours away, but the next time I get to go we are thinking of getting an another one to add more storage space to our walk-in closet.

I recently purchased the Malm 6 drawer chest, along with the 4 and 2 drawer chests. The pieces are all very affordable, and there are so many pros to this series. The chests are simple and timeless and come in neutral colors. I purchased the brown black finish which seems to go with any dark wood furniture. One big advantage to this set is that all three of the boxes were able to fit in my midsize car in one load. The large chests are extremely heavy though, don't try to move them by yourself! The chests themselves are of decent quality. They are very simple to put together, with Ikea's picture instructions. The first 4 drawer chest I bought was broken, however. The side that comes with the roller guides attached was cracked in two through the middle. Disappointing and troubling to return the heavy object, but the return went smoothly and the item was replaced. The finish seems to scratch easily as some pieces were scratched when I removed them from the box. My only real complaint is that the bases of the drawers are not very sturdy. The dressers themselves are sturdy but the drawers are not of the same quality. They don't fasten tightly. Overall, a good product.

I have multiple idea malm sets throughout my home, this 6 drawer chest, 4 drawer and 2 drawer chests,  the bed frame,  I have it in the birch color. Installation was pretty easy did take a little over an hour to assemble the first time around, as long as you have 2 people. The boxes it came in were pretty heavy so that is something to consider before going out and buying it. It was very very affordable/ great value, and looked pretty modern and chic. Durability is decent and doesn't get abused so its not a real factor. The drawers slide well and that is not a problem. Since I did buy multiple sets it has plenty of room for all my clothes and accessories. They also sell an organizer that fits these drawers but I opted not to get one.  One thing that I didn't like was that since I purchased multiple sets of these spaced several years apart the color didn't match up exactally. The birch I got earlier this year was slightly lighter shade, I called the customer service number to inquire and they told me that it was because they changed suppliers. It was made in another country with my first set. Dimensions and function were the same it was just a lighter shade, not too big of a deal I suppose considering that it has been several years between purchases that that is a reality things in general. I am overall satisfied.

I had never bought furniture from Ikea but when it came time to buy some things for my boys room, this furniture matched and was in our price range, so I bought 2. My son (17) put them together and I watched, the directions were easy to understand and everything was in the box. It took less the one hour to assemble it. The finish is done well and feels smooth and duable. The drawers are well manufactured and side in and out easily on the rails. Tehy even came with brackets to attach them to the wall so that they can not be turned over easily if someone was to climb up the front. I would buy any furniture I need for my home now from Ikea as we have found them to be well manufactures, easy to assymble and a great value. They are good heavy pieces of furniture and I am pleased with my purchase. I would recommend these chests to anyone. Ikea sells draw divides to fit in the draws too, which makes organization easy.

Recently purchased at IKEA the MALM 6 drawer chest.. I was looking for size and quality and this item was most superior for the price.. I can't believe how heavy the chest is and the 6 drawers was exactly what I wanted.. I had friends who have the chest and assembled it themselves but I chose for IKEA to deliver and assemble it.. so glad I did.. even with the additional cost the chest is worth every penny.. it is  very smart looking and again I can't get over how heavy the item is.. it is wood not pressed boarding..I could have never brought the item home myself.. it was 2 packages weighing over 120lbs.. I have my bedding in the bottom 2 drawers and still  have so much room left.. the gentlemen who assembled it were very professional and quick.. even addressing my concerns on how much I could load into a drawer.. showing me that no way was the bottom of a drawer going to fall thru from overstuffing.. each drawer is on metal rollers giving easy use .. highly recommend this item ..
