My husband and I are not very fond of dressers and armoires because of the amount of space they take up in a room.  In our house, we do not have a lot of room so we have to be very conscience about our furniture.  We did some research because I liked the look of platform beds and I wanted some extra storage for our clothes.  Well we stumbled across the Furniture Traditions Company.  I was excited about what I saw but was a little disturbed about the pricing. After looking and looking, we decided that if we wanted to quality then we had to pay for quality.  We purchased the Masterpiece pedestal in a king size.  There are three drawers on each size.  This is not the typical size drawer.  They are long and wide.  They are able to store many clothes.  (This is a plus). You will pay for quality but it is well worth it.  They do offer a lifetime warranty on all of their pieces.  This includes if a screw is lost, the handle came off, etc.  This is well worth the money.

Furniture Traditions bedroom furniture in their Masterpiece Collection is handcrafted of solid oak wood.  I have had my platform bed with storage drawers underneath for three years.  It has been a wonderful purchase for our bedroom.  It is a set that will outlast any other bedroom furniture that we hove owned. Our bedroom is small, so we ordered a grouping that is built together.  It is a platform bed (king size) with three good sized drawers on each side of the bed.  The headboard is a shelf with sliding doors that has plug ins for phone, chargers, etc.  Above the headboard is two large mirrors.  On each side of the bed, up against the headboard and mirrors, is a tall dresser.  It consists of a cabinet with 3 shelves and a drawer inside.  Below that is another three drawers.  So, there is plenty of storage.  It also has a shelf that slides to place your book at night or to set a drink (it is lined). It isn't the cheapest furniture around, but it is cheaper than buying furniture every couple of years.  It has proven to be durable ( even through a move) and exquisite.
