This Craftsman hammer is well-made and durable. It is solid and heavy enough to give consistently heavy blows, enabling one to drive nails in quickly and accurately. The claw on the back is well-made and is effective at pulling most nails out. The angle of the claw can make a few nails difficult, depending on the space available, as the handle of the hammer may hit something before it can go far enough to get a nail out. But that has only been a problem a couple times. The handle is strong and helps absorb some of the force of the blow. By absorbing this force, it helps reduce the vibration and jarring that the user feels in his hand. The heaviness of the hammer helps drive nails quickly, but it can also wear a user out quickly, if he is trying to use this hammer for an extended period of time at once and is not used to swinging something heavy for very long. Some of these drawbacks are unavoidable when producing quality in other areas (ability to quickly drive nails makes hammer heavy), so all in all, it is a good buy.
