Over 20 years ago, my husband and I built our 4 bedroom house and installed ClosetMaid wire shelving units in all of the closets. We were able to configure the his and hers walk-in closets to suit each of our needs. I like that the wire shelving lets air circulate through the clothing and linen closet items. I have placed an old towel under the sweater pile as I don't like having a wire print on my clothing - this is the one downside to the product. Just today, i had to purchase a replacement part for a wall bracket and have occasionally had to replace other support brackets throughout the 20+ years I have had these closets, but the great thing is that they still make them! Sure I have looked at the expensive closet organizers in the home stores, but I am pretty pleased with the quality of the product I have and the price I paid for it both twenty years ago and today, as I buy replacement pieces or add-ons for the organizers I already have.
