6 in 1 Sports Pack for Wii

4

This is a novel idea, especially for kids between 6-12, but it's not really needed to enjoy the Wii system. Each piece is rather small, again suited for kids small hands, so adults may not feel comfortable holding these and it can impact overall play in the game. For example, trying to swing the small golf club, and make an accurate shot on the screen is kind of impossible with such a small club. It seems like a fun idea to make it more realistic, but hinders the game if you are competitive. Equally frustrating are the small tennis rackets, and baseball bats. The steering wheel is cool for the racing games. It is more interesting and fun to have a real wheel to turn in your hands. I just find that the other accessories add no value to the game. Children will enjoy these, but be careful when they get rough, our tennis racket cracked. You can certainly play the Wii without any of these added pieces of equipment and still have an enjoyable experience.

A nice idea, but unnecessary.

The Wii Grand Slam 6 in 1 Sports Pack is a nice idea, but does not add much to the gameplay. Yes, it is more natural to hold a miniature tennis rack in taking swings in a tennis game than simply holding the wii remote. However, you are simply doing the same motion with the Wii remote in both cases. The snap in wheel add-on though is nice and gives much better control and life-like experience in driving games. I would recommend this product if you can get it for an extremely low price and you have a system or area set up for storage of the items. However, if your space or wallet is limited or low, I would recommend passing on these items. Also, depends how much you play simulated sports games (i.e. Wii Sports, Tiger Woods PGA) as to whether these are worth it. If you play these games all the time, then go ahead and get these as it will enhance your gaming experience. But remember, it still isn't the real thing, although it's quite fun!

Enhance your Wii sports exprience

Have you ever wanted to feel like you were actually in the video game? Now you can feel like you are with the Wii grand slam sports pack. This pack offers a real life attachment that transforms your Wii controller into a racket, bat, steering wheel, or even a golf club. This is great fun for the whole family.

Fun but you don't need them

The Grand Slam Sports Pack has different sports equipment for the different Wii Sports games including baseball, tennis, golf and racing games. The idea is cute, they just aren't necessary to enjoy those different games. The products are plastic, lightweight, and the controller easily slips in and out of the different pieces. However, I would say that the experience isn't any better with the equipment or without it. In fact, you should be careful when swinging them because they are obviously bigger than the remote, and we had some close calls with hitting people. It is nice that you get a variety of equipment in one package, but you might get something you don't need if you don't play that particular game (my family and I aren't the biggest Wii golfers). We do have Mario Kart, so it was nice to have another steering wheel to use when there were more than one person playing, but you can get an individual steering wheel cheaper than the whole kit if that is what you really want.

These are cool but not necessary

So when the Wii first came out we bought the system itself, extra controllers, tons of games, a few steering wheels, the balance board and this sports pack. They are definitely not necessary for game play. You can very easily play the sports games without attaching anything to your wii remote. That being said, I think this accessory package makes the games even cooler, especially for the kiddos. For me, I think they sometimes get in the way and it makes swinging the wii remote a bit more difficult if you're playing in a small space. Also, storage is kind of a pain. They're rather bulky, so finding a place to keep all these attachments when we're not using them was hard. Overall, I'm glad we bought the sports accessory pack. It wasn't all that expensive and the kids have fun with it so it was worth the price, even if I have to cram them all into a drawer in the entertainment center!

crap very poor not meant foe adults. It should be a little more bigger, so you get a good handle on them. The wheel is about the best part of the package. I think the company should make bigger grips. Make it much better to hold on to. I bet every one will be willing to pay a lot more for a better product. I would.
