Health in a cup

By

Comments about Bigelow - Green Tea:

If you haven't tried drinking Green Tea in the past you most certainly are missing out. Green tea is an incredibly easy way to boost your health and vitality while still getting that crucial caffeine boost that we all need in our busy lives. The Bigelow Green Tea teabags are a great way to make this delicious treat easily. These bags come in individually sealed packages for easy transport to work or school and can be made incredibly simply. With a great source of antioxidants so easily packaged, who wouldn't take advantage. Even when sweetened to taste, this naturally zero calorie beverage has been suspected to contribute to a healthy lifestyle and even implicated in weight loss through the supply of EGCG which is found in very high quantities in this brand of green tea. As a chronic green tea drinker I believe this brand is a great source of quality tea and would highly recommend.

Sometimes it takes a while to appreciate this!

By

from Oak Park, IL

Comments about Bigelow - Green Tea:

It took me a while to really appreciate green tea, especially ***Bigelow Green Tea***.  Sometimes the best things are subtle and understated.

**I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF:**

From ***teaforhealth.com*** comes this enchanting story about green tea which perfectly describes my own experience.  I couldn't have said it better myself:

*The Story of the Emperor and Green Tea*

*Emperor Chien-lung of the Ching Dynasty who reigned from 1736 to 1796 A.D. disguised himself as a commoner, traveling with two cabinet ministers incognito to the countryside.  Since the Manchu Imperial family originally came from a northern minority, Chien-lung was used to drinking black tea only.  When his entourage was passing a tea plantation in south-central China, the servants offered him a cup of choice green tea.  After a few sips, the emperor commented "Too bland. Tasteless," and continued his journey on horseback.  Riding about half of a mile later, the emperor turned to his ministers and said:  "GOOD TEA."*

**MY VIEWPOINT:**

I had tried green tea before and had not been impressed so I didn't hold out much hope for what a small sample bag of ***Bigelow Green Tea*** would do for my generous-sized mug of boiling water.  I had just doused the bag in the water when an important phone call came in which distracted me long enough to let the tea have enough time to really "steep" and develop its full flavor.  Even after I had enthusiastically downed this generous portion of a brew rich in antioxidants it took me a while to really appreciate the subtle, classy flavor.  Now I agree heartily with Emperor Chien-lung:

**That's GOOD TEA!**
