I will never buy any other flea medication again.

First off, I loved that Advantage offered different strengths for different sized cats. That alone drew me in because I have two cats, and they are two very different sizes. Second, I had read rave reviews about this product, although I was still kind of cautious because I had tried a prior product that had just as awesome reviews and it didn't work for me like it had for others. It was expensive to say the least, especially since I had to buy two separate boxes, and I went ahead and got the 6 dose boxes as well, because it was my last resort; I had tried a lot of others with no luck. Needless to say, this brand was the winner! Neither of my cats had reactions to this, and within only a couple of days, I noticed a huge difference. I've been using it now for 3 months, and I haven't seen even one flea on either of my cats, or in my house. Love this and will never, ever go back to any other brand! Quality of Ingredients It works like a charm with no allergic reactions. Side Effects My cats didn't have any, but I guess that doesn't mean that no cat ever will.

Advantage, goodbye fleas!

Advantage works wonders on my cats. It is expensive but totally worth the price. We have used it for years and never had any adverse side effects with our cats. It works quickly and effectively within 24 hours of application. My only small complaint is that in the summer months I notice that after applying it to my cats all the fleas seem to jump ship and start eating me! The problem is resolved with some everyday vacuuming and it's a small price to pay to be flea free. The treatment is suggested for once a month but I have noticed that it can wear off a little sooner. This stuff will spoil you and your cats. I have tried a few different brands of flea medicine and this is the only one that makes a real difference. We had an instance where the store was out of it and we bought Sentry. Mistake! That stuff didn't work at all and we ended up ordering Advantage on line shortly after. So long as it keeps working I will never try anything else again.

One cat had a weird reaction.

I have two cats and three dogs. One day I brought my dogs to the dog park and came back with fleas that rode on the dogs' backs. My dogs were already on flea preventatives, but somehow the fleas still got into our home. At first, I didn't think much of it since they were on preventatives and I knew the fleas would die if they bit my dogs, but then I remembered; cats can get fleas too! My cats had not been on flea preventatives because they were indoor cats and I thought they would never have a chance to get fleas. Well the next day, I found fleas on my cats. I went to the pet store and picked up a flea treatment for them. I used it as the instructions stated and thought everything would be fine since the fleas were now gone, but then something weird happened. An hour or so after the treatment, my older cat Lou started pacing around. He vomitted at least 4 times in that hour, and I knew something was up. I drove him to the vet, where he was put on fluids and monitored. The vet recommended that I not use this product anymore because my cat had probably been allergic to something in it. Different cats have different reactions to things. Only one of my cats had this reaction, so be sure to monitor your cat after treatment.

Not sure if the formulas been changed but this is awful

1

We had a terrible infestation after fostering an elderly woman's cat and tried everything to get rid of them before the pet store manager recommended Advantage II. Within 2 days we went from watching them crawl all over to gone! I love this stuff and will never waste time in shampoo or powder or cheaper stuff again. UPDATE: the second box I bought of this stuff didn't work at all, but thinking it was a bad batch I bought a third. That box made my animals itch so bad they have bald spots! Switched to flea treats, I don't know if they changed the formula or what but after three handed I'm done with this stuff.

easy to apply - a little, well maybe more than a little concerned about cat health effects with the chemicals involved. Fleas are rampant in the sandy soil and grass near my home so had no choice but to try something. My cat reacted very weird after the application and I made sure to watch him. Within a few hours that dissipated and the only problem was trying to stay away from the area where it was applied. The flea problem was no more after use!

This is the only flea med we trust!

5

We used a Hartz flea med once and will never use anything Hartz every again. Our cat got violently ill. We use this flea med once a month now on our large cat. When he first came to us, he had fleas and brought them into our home. We started using this flea med and within a week, all fleas were gone on him and in our home. We wouldn't use anything else. It goes on very easily at the back of the neck, where the cat can't reach with his/her tongue, so they can't like it off. That's all you have to do, once a month, and NO FLEAS!

Advantage Flea Control Is My Choice For My 8 Cats!

5

Yes, yes, I know I am a crazy cat lady. But it's not my fault, really, it's not. My husband and two daughters are completely responsible for the abandoned cats that they rescue. Once they come to live here, they never leave. I don't want to end up featured on the Animal Channel, though, so I take good care of my feline friends, and make sure that every month they get their share of Bayer Advantage Flea Control. I used to use Frontline, but I felt that it was "wearing out" before the month was over. Bayer Advantage seems to last the whole month long. I also like the easy-to-use applicator which makes putting it on my easily spooked kitties not nearly so traumatic, and keeps the chemicals off of my hands. It works so quickly that the fleas, if there are any, die and fall off within a day. The odor is not the best but if it works, that is a small price to pay. It also seems to calm the dermatitis that plagues my Maine Coone, even when he doesn't have actual fleas. The price is better than other topical flea control medications, too. I would definitely recommend Bayer Advantage Flea Control to any of my pet-loving friends!

The Best Flea Control for My Cat!

5

Advantage flea Control for Cats over 9 lbs. is the best flea control I've discovered for my cat.  The first time my former cat, Ginger, had fleas, was a shock.  Ginger was an indoor cat and I couldn't figure out how it happened.  The vet informed me a flea can jump on a person outside and easily get in to an indoor pet.  He advised getting Advantage.  Although it was expensive, it was worth it to me if it worked.  It did.  After one application - along with treating our carpet and bedding - the fleas were gone.  Completely.  It kills the eggs, not just the fleas.  A second application was applied a month later.  That was all we needed.  I even wondered if that was necessary, but I wanted to be safe rather than sorry.  Two years later our cat got fleas again.  This time it was from another cat in our building.  I purchased Advantage online this time, at a much cheaper price.  Once again, it worked beautifully.  Our Ginger has since passed away and we have another cat.  If he ever gets fleas I'll know what to buy.  Easy to apply, and extremely effective.

Does the job!

My cat got fleas and after that, I vowed to never let it happen again! The pain she experienced and the vet bills alone made me want to take preventative action. Advatage is excellent and while my cat doesn't like it (find me a cat who loves taking pills or having flea preventative on her neck!), it does allow her to not have fleas. She's been on it for over a year now and she is still flea free. Thank goodness for Advantage and their high quality ingredients. She has food and skin allergies, but Advantage has not caused her any problems. Another popular brand did cause her problems. Her skin broke out and she became itchy. But because Advantage did not cause her allergies, it does not mean that it would be perfect for your cat, so I suggest that you consult your veterinarian and come up with the best plan for your cat and your pocketbook. I personally think that Advantage is worth every penny because when my cat got fleas, it was such a horrible experience. No fleas leaves me a happy cat owner!

Advantage Flea Control Works Awesome! :)

I had always used Advantage for my pets- both cats and dogs.  Then for several years I did not need to use a flea control product.  Unfortunately, about a year ago I had occasion to use this type of product again.   Since Frontline was so well advertised as being superior to Advantage in all ways, we decided to buy it.  Well, it seemed to work for a few days, maybe- but then the very next week those fleas were back, just cruising around all over my cats!  I thought maybe it needed more time to work.  Then I thought maybe I needed to reapply.  Well, suffice to say that we gave Frontline EVERY opportunity to live up to their claims- even purchased it a second time.  I found out later that some vets are saying that fleas have become resistant to Frontline.  Well, I will never waste my money there again!   I bought Advantage and applied it to my cats- and it has worked fabulously!!  Fleas gone!  Over a month later, I saw *one* flea, so reapplied to all 3 of my cats.  And that was that.  No more fleas at ALL!  It's been about 3 months and I haven't seen ANY fleas.  And I look for them, just to be safe.  I will never use anything but Advantage ever again!  It's the best product for flea control, hands down.
