I bought this for my husband to use with his iPhone when he had the 3G because he didn't have anything other than an outdoor speaker system to use to listen to his music without the headphones.  Now he has the new iPhone 4 and it works with that as well.  It has gotten so much use.  The sound quality is excellent!  It does take a lot of batteries (6) and we seem to go through them a lot, so we try to limit the useage for when we don't have access to an outlet.  We purchased another item to use at home.  When our electricity went out recently for over a day, we also used it with our laptop computer.  We watched a movie with the laptop, which has terrible sound.  It plugged right into my laptop and we were able to hear the movie, crisp and clear.  This is a great portable speaker system.  It's compact and easy to take with you anywhere.  We loved it so much we also got one for my sister-in-law!
