This hand pushed mower excels at its job. It is a very basic hand mower. It has little to no amenities. It is just a push mower designed to be inexpensive and be used to mow small yards. Performance I have used this mower for three years and it has always started for me. I change the oil in the fall before I put it away for the season. In the spring I replace the spark plug and sharpen the mowers blade. Handling It goes where I push it. It is not very heavy and my twelve year old son can safely use it. Durability I have used it for three years and never had it break down. Safety It has discharge shield and engine cut off at the handle. It is very safe. Ease of Use Check the oil level, fill it with gas, and pull the starter cord, then enjoy your lawn mowing. The push mower does not self propel so enjoy a light workout. Engine Power For basic lawn mowing and grass that is not overgrown it mows perfectly. The engine can handle it all except for tall grasses.

I am a lawn mower junkie. I need a mower that is going to start with no problems and do the job. The Yard Machine mower isn't bad at all. When I got it, it would stall after using it for a few minutes. I didn't have any desire to return it since it was so cheap and I figured there was probably something simple that I could figure out. All I wanted to do was to just mow my lawn! I googled several sites on how to fix lawnmowers. I unclogged the gas line and changed the air filter; still stalled out after a few minutes. After reading more and more about problems, I loosened the gas cap and it worked. I was able to mow the lawn with no problem. That's what was wrong with it- the gas cap. I'd have never figured that out. Anyway, the mower is okay. It doesn't have any bells and whistles. It has a Briggs & Stratton motor, which the majority of mowers do. They're supposed to be the best. Yard Machines got good reviews on the consumer reporting sites which was another reason I kept it. And, did I mention it was cheap? I refuse to buy an expensive mower given all the headaches that lawnmowers have about not starting the next year, etc. If this one lasts for one season, I'll be happy. I'm just not happy that I had to fix it when I got it but I could have returned it so I can't give it too bad a score. I'd buy another Yard Machine-depending on the cost. All I need is for it to start easy and mow.
