Wellness CORE Original Dry Adult Dog Food

Well worth the price, will never use any other dog food.

After trying the majority of the premium dog foods (Blue Buffalo, Orijen, Taste of the Wild, etc) I decided to try my.dog on Wellness Core. His stools have been much firmer and smaller. His energy level is amazing, he has stopped scratching and he loves this food. We actually started him on it the day after he was diagnosed with Parvo (Well, that's what the Vet was feeding him once he was able to eat, so we followed suit) While probably not completley true, I believe the nutritional value that this food contains, helped our Preston survive. Regardless of that anecdote, the food does wonders, and while it may be a little pricey, the amount of food required is less. It's worth every penny.

Ear Infection is gone

5

Two years ago we adopted a dog from the pound that turned out to have a severe ear infection. We worked with the vet and tried many different ear medications as well as oral antibiotics with slight improvement. We also tried hypo-allergenic food from the vet to rule out allergies. Well after 10 days our dog was so distressed over that food that she would follow you everywhere hoping a new food would turn up. You couldn't even go to the bathroom without her trying to get in. I started doing research and began to change foods free of grain and mammal (beef, lamb, etc.). We now use Wellness Core Turkey and recently switched over to reduced fat because she is a real "chow hound". We believe the food has made a huge difference because her ears are healed and at the vet last week the doctor said they looked fabulous. We are so relieved because it just about broke our hearts to see her suffer. Our dog is a 6 y/o female Jack Russell named Penney.

A Really Great Dog food

5

Several Years ago our Vet recommended we switch our old collie to one of these better dog foods. We chose Wellness Core as I had a coupon for it. We have not been disappointed. Our dog really likes it and we have seen an improvement in her overall health. We don't have to feed her as much of this dog food as the previous brand which has helped her lose some weight. It has also helped cut down on her shedding. She now sheds at appropriate times of the year instead of constantly. The nuggets are nice and small so she has no problem chewing them, and she will eat this dog food without our adding canned dog food to make it appealing. We have also noticed that her coat is much shinier and she seems to have a lot more energy. We have also tried the other flavors of this brand dog food and she seems to like them as well. It is nice that coupons are available as the price is a lot more expensive than the dogs food you can get at wal-mart or other grocery stores

Peace of Mind for Dog's Health

5

Obviously, this is not a cheap brand -- but there's a reason for that, since it's not cheap in quality or health either. I used to feed my dogs cheaper food, but switched to Wellness after reading a number of rave reviews from both consumers and experts. I love that it's gluten-free and doesn't have fillers like rice that so many other dog food brands (even non-mainstream ones) do, and it gives me peace of mind to know that I'm feeding my dogs top-notch, healthy food. They gobble it up every morning and night, so clearly they have no problem with it either! Quality of Ingredients Gluten-free, no fillers, and lots of essential ingredients that are perfect for their health. The ingredients are why I value this food so much for my dogs. Flavor Selection They don't have a ton of flavors, but the flavors that they do have are perfectly acceptable in my mind. Chicken? Sounds good to me, and to my dogs, judging by their rapid intake of it whenever it's in their bowls!

Good basic grain free kibble

This was our first grain free dog food. It worked very well for our now deceased Border Collie. When our Golden Retriever became itchy and had gooky ears, we put him on this and the problem went away. He was on it for 2.5 years before his problems came back. We were told by our holistic vet that sometimes dogs will become sensitive when fed the same protein (in this case - turkey) for a while. We eliminated everything else that we thought could be causing his itchy skin and gooky ears, added probiotics, etc, but it only subsided when we changed foods. We do still have our 1.5 year old border collie on it, and she is doing very well. One thing I do have to say is that this food gave my Golden terrible gas - from both ends!!!!! Flavor Selection Wellness Core only comes in a turkey based food. It would be great if the flavor selection could be expanded!

This was a miracle food for my dog

this food is pricier than most but, worth it if your dog has grain allergy problems. We pur our dog on it when we found out she had cancer, it was to take the "load" of digesting grains off her system. That was three years ago and she is amazing our vet with her longevity and health. Her cancer is only given a 1-2 yr life expectancy. Flavor Selection The fish based selection is really fishy smelling, so be prepared to like the smell of fish

One of the best pet foods on the market!

Wellness Products are some of the best petfoods one can purchase for thier pet.  Are these foods more expensive?  Yes, but becasue they are more nutrient dense, they eat less of it and get more out from it.  You won't be sorry you went with these products!

Great stuff, better then what i have seen

my puppies, to which i have three, two blue blood rescue breeds... and one rescue Mutt, were eating premuin edge, which i felt was too high in protein, and gave them flakey skin, like dandruff. I did some reading and saw, the wellness program, for Dogs & cats. i noticed that they have a grain -free, wheat-free & soy free, base called CORE. no more flakey skin, and they look grea, feel great and poop less, which means that are keeping the proper nutrients within their body now...still the compareable same price of premiun edge, dont get me wrong PE dog food is great too, but this product is great for my pups, now. awesome food, they also have canned dog food, too that is grain free as well. that is something special that i give them with their supper.

I've had better

I'm an avid natural food feeder for all of my pets..I had been feeding my two dogs Acana Pacifica, with fantastic results, however, because I can only find it online, and shipping is insane, I decided to try the best food that our local pet store had to offer, Wellness Core. I've worked in two different pet stores, so I'm very familiar with virtually every food they have to offer, and I was sure that trying Core would be a great alternative to Acana, especially since I could drive five minutes to pick it up, and because it was more affordable. Not so much...a few days after switching my lab/border collie mixs' fur began to fall out in clumps. I was finally getting used to the reduced shedding thanks to Acana, but Wellness ruined all of that. Granted, it is a great food, and I would recommend it to everyone that walked into a pet store and asked for the best food...but after trying Acana I just can't go back to it. But, for anyone who can't order food online, Wellness Core is the way to go, for sure!

Wellness Core Dry Dog food is a great dog food. I have tried a lot of grain-free dog foods and this is one of the best. CORE is just basic necessity, no grains or by-products or fillers. It can be a bit pricey but that's what i have come to expect with top-quality dog food.
