I have tried various wine aerators before and i have to say this one is one of the best. It is packaged real nicely that it makes you want to put it on display for everyone to see. When I used it for the first time there was no issues for the wine flows through it as expected and gives it a great refreshing taste to which wine should have to it. I even did a test of before with no aerator and one after using it. I have to say the after is best. I love the bag it comes in to to protect it from scratches etc. I highly recommend this to my wine lovers and best part I can take it on trips too.

I first saw the Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator while visiting friends and they ranted and raved about its benefits. I was skeptical at first and wondered if it really can extend the bottle of wine and improve the taste & experience. They set up a "test kitchen" and compared the taste of wines with and without using the aerator. There was an absolute difference between the aeratored and the non-aerated. The wine tasted fresher/lighter. We love red wines and it is our go-to when anyone comes to visit. So, I decided to purchase a Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator for us as a Christmas gift. We absolutely LOVE IT! We have now gotten one for ALL our friends and each of them LOVE theres too. Now, everyone in our circle of friends are ranting and raving over it, too. The only complaint I have is that it can be a bit messy.

This is my first attempt at a product like this, and received from a friend. My girlfriend and I have enjoyed good wines before this gift a few months ago, and we've tried on both Reds and Whites. Product says it is for Reds only, but there is a taste difference on the Whites. With Reds however, the change in flavor is more prominant. It is quick to filter, just pour the wine through the top metal filter, through the device, and a stream comes through the bottom into your glass. It would be nice if the device could somehow be mounted to your glass or the table, as you're stuck holding it, the wine bottle, and maybe your wineglass all at the same time. This device is also somewhat noisy - we've brought it to a couple restaurants that were BYOB and as the device makes a 'glugging' and 'chugging' noise, people tend to look over. This has also lent to some independant validation of the device. The last time we were out, sitting at a table next to another couple, we got a couple looks and I told them what it was. They asked about it, I gave some more info. We volunteered they try, which they did. They got three clean glasses, one with their normal wine, one with water, one with the arated wine. They both looked a bit startled with the amount of flavor shift, and the girl who was the most skeptic kept asking for more!

My husband got this for a gift and we really were skeptical if it would work, but it did make a difference.  It made the wine more "airy" right after pouring, so no more swirling for me!  I love red wine, but I am not a wine snob, so I don't mind if people wonder why I'm not sniffing and swirling!  My brother doesn't enjoy red wine, but even he thought it made the wine tastier.  I just love our Vinturi!

After a short hiatus due to limited funds, I'm back into drinking my favorite red wines but now with less patience. Time is money, people! :) The other decanting devices I've used in the past seemed more like gimmicks than anything and nothing really worked, but not only is this Vinturi wine aerator a good looking device, but it saves me loads of time! This is definitely my favorite wine Christmas gift this season, and I've already used it every day since Christmas. It's clean (no messes or drips!) and is an attractive looking gift. I've always had trouble finding gifts that matched the value of their cost, but gift is something I'd be proud to give a friend. I'm sure they'd realize this aerators worth after just one or two tries. I highly recommend this Vinturi wine aerator as a gift for any wine enthusiast friends, since it's nice and compact. Makes a great gift accompanied with a great bottle of red wine.

I personally own the Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator for red wine. I got it with the stand and everything which is really not necessary, but pretty helpful. The Aerator itself definitely gives life to the wine as it is poured through, allowing the proper amount of air to mix with the wine. Although, at some times, if you pour through the aerator too quickly, it may pull the wine into the holes that are designed to draw air in, leading to a leak in the side. With red wine, you need to be careful in this situation as the RED is very likely to leave a stain. Apart from this, I think it is much more time efficient and a lot more economically efficient than a decanter. As you get used to using this item, the problem with the slight leaks becomes minimal and it becomes easier to get the same result with less hassel. It's really just the beginning, getting used to pouring that takes a little while to figure out.

I'm not really much of a wine drinker. My husband keeps trying to find wines that I might like, but I don't like the puckery taste of most red wines (he says that's the "tannins.") He saw this device demonstated at our local wine store and thought it might help me enjoy the wines he's purchased. I was sceptical, but we bought one and he tried a blind taste test on me. He gave me two glasses of wine and asked me which one I liked better. There was a marked difference in the two glasses. One was definitely more mellow. It would have been a big surprise if it was the non-aerated one, but it was the glass of wine that was poured through the Vinturi aerator. Now we use the Vinturi every time we pour a glass of wine, and I'm happy to join my husband in a glass.

If you are someone who enjoys wine, especially red wine, this aerator is a must. I guess I can't say that I am a sommelier or something like that but my family enjoys red wine. We bought one of these aerators for Christmas and wished we would have done it a long time ago. It's easy to use and you won't be sorry you spent the money. Red wine will never taste the same again. This aerator gives it a fuller more luxurious flavor. It's amazing what a simple tool can do to make something already great taste splendid. I was very skeptical that the average person could actually 'taste the difference' when using this product. Even if you are someone who is a casual drinker, you will notice the difference. Get one if you don't have one!

The first time I saw this was at a family gathering about two weeks ago. My cousin, who just turned 21, was brandishing his latest toy. Now that he's legal, he's totally drinking it up! ... But I digress. All the cousins gathered around the table as he tells us that this device totally changes the taste of wine when you drink it. His exact words were "you don't even have to decant the wine for 3 hours". Of course, I was skeptical, but I went along. He had three different bottles of red wine opened (I don't remember what kinds), and two types of white wines. True enough, I sampled all of five wines before being poured through the aerator, and after. There's a very noticeable difference. For all five afters, the taste was much smoother. When you go back to tasting the before batch, there's a noticeable graininess that the after batch did not have. I have no idea how this works, and although, the Aerator is slightly on the pricey end, I can confirm that it does work as it says. This would make the perfect birthday gift for any wine drinker! PS: Best part is that it's small so it's very portable.

We have purchased several wine aeration type products. We love our wine and we love trying new wines. This is a simple easy way to aerate wine without taking up a lot of space. I recommend this specifically for packing on trips too, since it's made with durable material, not glass. Ours came with a carrying punch. It does improve the taste of new & cheap wines and essentially makes them tast more aged. The price is pretty good on amazon, but it all depends on what you consider cheap or expensive. I would highly recommend this gadget in any household that enjoys wine. We have done several taste tests and in normally off wines, it does improve the taste. The only time I haven't noticed a difference is in already exceptionally good wines. Some wines are so bad that this improves it to more tolerable. I see now that there is a venturi hands free holder stand type thing. with the stand, this gadget would be even more simple to use. Some complaints others have had are that you have to hold the venturi in one hand and the wine bottle in the other. Being able to dedicate to the pouring and not to also having to hold the venturi would definitely make the product easier to use. although, it really isn't hard to use in the first place at all. we have another aeration device that we use more often because it is faster and prettier. However, the venturi is not made of glass and for that reason most of all, is the reason I would recommend the Venturi in packing for travel above all other aerators. As far as working as specified.. all aerators I use do the job fine, just a matter of how you like to use it. The venturi does make a fun noise when it's used that the others don't.
