We keep Uncle Ben's Ready Rice Pouch, Whole Grain Brown Rice on hand at all times. Our little picky eater loves rice and will sometimes request it as a snack right before bedtime. Instead of spending the time (about 20 minutes or so) to make rice from scratch, we pop one of these in the microwave for a minute and a half. Put a little bit of salt and pepper on it and ta-da...snack is served and bedtime is not postponed for long at all. Our little picky eater is definitely picky about her food and rice is no exception. She loves this brown rice. It's not mushy or dry...it really is perfect. And the convenience cannot be beat! Sure it costs a little bit more, but it's worth it to have on hand when you need rice quick in a pinch. Sometimes, dinner doesn't happen when we expect and we pull these out and use them to throw together a quick and nutritious dinner. The package is not a lot of rice, but it is enough to serve two adults.

Looking for a quick side dish? This little pouch is for you. I love the benefits we get from eating whole grain brown rice. I have found some brown rice to be hard and difficult to cook just right. This rice goes in the microwave for just a couple of minutes (microwave time varies) and it's done to perfection. The rice is soft and not dry at all. I use it as the quick side dish for chicken or meat but it's very versatile. If you are hungry and just want a snack then it works great too. I sometimes add it to soups as a quick ingredient. It has never failed me and is super moist and delicious. I would recommend you try it if you haven't.
