Tupperware's vent n serve do not hold up!

I truly can't recommend this tupperware product. I first had the early version of these - I think they called them rock and serve or something similar. They market technique included the claims of extreme durability and that they were made of the same material that the space shuttle windsheild was made of. Well, I hope not! Without exception, my first set failed, and failed miserably - and I was not alone! It was a flaw that was widespread - cracking of the containers themselves - kind of like little "fissures" running through the plastic. They didn't leak or anything at first, but they finally did crack more severely and so I called the Tupperware rep up and got replacements and was encouraged that they had fixed this flaw in the product. Well, my replacements have done only slightly better. They haven't had all the little micro-cracks, but both the lids and containers of several have suddenly and inexplicably broken. This next time I call the Tupperware rep, I'm going to ask for a credit toward a different product all together.

I thought Tupperware wasn't supposed to crack

The idea of microwavable tupperware is great. Growing up, we always would microwave leftovers, and the bowls would stain and turn gross. This new inventive design got me really excited. I love cooking in my microwave especially in the summer heat. So, of course, I bought the whole set. My favorite was the biggest bowl you could cook a family size amount of potatoes in. I loved this for about two months. About that time, they started cracking on the bottom of the containers. The good news is they are lifetime guaranteed. So I got them replaced for free. So, you guessed it, these ones cracked to. The convenience of these containers is not worth the headache of having to get them replaced every few months. So, if you haven't wasted your money on these already, I don't recommend this product. they do have a three tier microwave cooker that is an amazing alternative to these products. I do have to say that it has been a couple years, so they may have improved the quality since they first came out.

Tupperware wears so well

I received my first Tupperware Vent and Serve bowls as a gift, and I absolutely love this product.  I use them constantly to store leftovers.  When I carried my lunch to work each day, these were perfect for heating in the microwave.  Now I use them to steam vegetables in the microwave.  It works like a dream!  In my experience, these bowls are super easy to clean, and they don't stain or hold food odors.  I love them so much, I have started buying the Tupperware Vent and Serve Set for all my family and friends' birthday, holiday and bridal shower gifts.  Now they love Tupperware as much as I do!  Tupperware is a bit expensive compared to other mainstream food storage containers- I consider them an investment!  The quality of this product is so impressive that you will use them forever.  The Tupperware Vent and Serve collection is a must-have for every cook's kitchen.  Now if only there were a local tupperware store...

tupperware vent n serve

I love tupperware containers.  I have many many containers and continue to use them.  The vent n serve is a container that I can freeze my food, microwave the food, and then take it to the table.  It is easy to use and there are various sizes.  I love the fact that it comes in various sizes and shapes.  There are round ones, rectangular ones, big and small ones.  The tupperware guarantee is great.  Anytime there is a defect or crack in the item, you can get a free replacement.  Sometimes I cook a lot and freeze the food for later use, and then take it out from the freezer, place it in the microwave, and warm it up.  A quick and easy way to get dinner done.  The fact that there are various sizes makes it even better so I can make the best use of the containers.  Sometimes there's just a little bit, and the small container will be just enough for the left over.  Other times, there's a lot of food to store, and because it's stackable, it makes it even better.

Perfect to take leftovers in your lunch!

I probably have 20 pieces of Tupperware's Vent N Serve and could use more!  I love the little rectangle ones for packing leftovers to put in my husband's lunch. I love that the cover stays on when reheating so the inside of your microwave doesn't get all splattered up. I have some very large pieces that are great for homemade spaghetti sauce. I can freeze the entire batch of sauce in the Tupperware Vent N Serve then when I'm ready to use it I just thaw in the fridge and re-heat in the microwave. I love that the bowls are a clear type plastic so you can easily see what is inside.  This is especially handy when you look in the freezer and can see what you have (I always forget to label the stuff I freeze).  Plus I think it looks nice enough to put on the table and serve right from the container. They do say they are not for cooking and you should only re-heat at 50-70% power.  I would try to stick with that as my husband always does everything at 100% power and many of our Tupperware Vent N Serve containers are now cracked.  We have never "cooked" in them but since we've re-heated at 100% I guess that is considered "cooking" as far as the warranty goes.

Tupperware's Vent N Serve allows you to store, reheat, and serve all in the same container.  They go from fridge or freezer to the microwave, for healthy homemade meals for even the busiest person. Plan meals for the week ahead or make your meals ahead for the week.  Portion control is easy when you do it ahead of time.  Rounded container design and footed bases promote even reheating while the handles stay cool.  Virtually liquid-tight valve is easy to open, close and clean. Vent N Serve comes in a variety of sizes to fit everyones need:  2c mug, 2 1/4c, 3 1/2c, 4c divided, 4 1/4c, 6 1/4c, and 3 3/4 qt.. What you need to fit your lifestyle and keep eating healthy.  Paper bags and wasteful plastic wrap are a thing of the past with Vent N Serve.
