I love my Pyrex mixing bowls. They are 3 sizes and sit inside one another to save space. I have had my set for years and I still have them all. They are tough glass and have held up to being banged around. They are not scratched or cracked either. I like having these because I can use the size I need rather then using a huge bowl for a small amount. I definitely recommend them to anyone. I like the brand and the price is fair. You can get Pyrex at kmart or Wal-Mart.

I have had this standard plain three pieces set for years and it is still going strong. You simply can't go wrong with Pyrex. Performance Recently I went through all of my storage containers and through away all of the plastic and went to all Pyrex. They take up less space in the cabinet and I love the sleek and clean look of the glass. They stack together well and don't take up the space that the plastic did. I don't think that I made very many meals without using at least one of these bowls. . Ease of Cleaning Clean up is so easy with the glass bowls and they are not only microwave safe, they go right in the dishwasher. Durability These must be quality as they haven't broken and are still going strong. Design Now they have so many different sizes and shapes of bowls but it is hard to beat the practicality of this basic three pieces. I have no idea what the three sizes are, I just know the big one holds a whole cake mix, the middle one is ideal for mixing the sauce to my potato casserole and the small one is perfect for holding the mix for the French toast. Doesn't Stick I have headed many things in the microwave in these bowls and nothing seems to stick.

I love Pyrex products. I never understood my mothers' love for the brand until I got older and began using them myself. These are inexpensive for such a high quality product. I bought the Pyrex Glass Mixing Bowls four years ago and they still look brand new even though I use them A LOT. The thick glass on these bowls is what I really like. I am clumsy and have dropped the bowls, I do not know how many times. They are so durable and I have never had one break. You can mix anything in them and it will not stick to the bowl. It makes cleaning so much simpler because there is no scrubbing. I highly recommend these Pyrex Glass Mixing Bowls. They are inexpensive, durable, and easy to clean. Durability These last for YEARS. The bowls are made of very thick glass so they will not get damaged if you drop them occasionally. I do have to say if you drop one of these on your foot you will definitely become more cautious of it! Doesn't Stick Nothing sticks to these bowls which make clean up a breeze.

For years I have owned and used various sizes of Pyrex bowls, measuring cups and baking dishes. The glass is thicker and it is tempered so it can stand up to a lot more use. I have only had one mixing bowl break and that was when I dropped it on concrete when I was carrying a dessert to a party. I think it hit the concrete on an angle and the lip of the mixing bowl took the impact and it broke in to four or five pieces. The mixing bowls are excellent if you need to keep a mix cold while you are preparing desserts; I often use two bowls at a time and put ice cubes in the larger sized one and use a smaller sized bowl to mix things in. I place the smaller bowl inside the larger bowl to keep the ingredients chilled. All of the Pyrex mixing bowls are a sound investment; they are dishwasher and freezer safe and you can heat things up in them. If you are freezing things in them you have to let them defrost or come to room temperature before you put them in the oven or there is a good chance that they will shatter because of the rapid change in temperature. Because you can get the mixing bowls in a lot of different sizes there's a lot of usability to them. I like the clear ones for fresh fruit and fruit salads but the colored ones are nice for seasonal entertaining. The sets that have three, five or eight bowls per package are the best value if you are trying to have a variety of sizes to work with but they can be hard to find. Ease of Cleaning They are dishwasher safe and nothing sticks to the inside or outside of the bowls. Durability I have only had one break in all the years that I have been using them. Design I love that they can be nestled to save when storing them.

I have owned this set of three Pyrex glass mixing bowls for almost 7 years now. These bowls have been used heavily throughout my years of ownership and yet amazingly they still look like new and better yet they are just about indestructible. There is a lot to like about these bowls. Chief among is that they really are so durable. They are made of heavy glass. They do not feel cheap or light. They are quite heavy and have survived numerous drops and dings without damage. I like that these bowls come in a set of three as the different sizes are great for different uses. I use these bowls constantly. I use them to bake casseroles in the oven, to store left over food in the refrigerator, to serve salads, to mix cake batter, prepare jello, home made sauces, salsas and salad dressings. There really is no end to the different uses. As an added bonus these bowls stack nicely too which helps take up less storage space in my cupboard. On top of all of this, these bowls are very easy to clean, even when baking with them in the oven. A small amount of dish detergent and elbow greases removes all stains and on days when I am feeling lazy, they are dishwasher friendly too. These bowls are a staple in my kitchen. These are an absolute must buy and I strongly recommend them. A 10 out of 10 for me in all departments.

We received this set of mixing bowls as a gift, and we use them on a regular basis. We love that they can be used for multiple purposes. We had previously primarily used plastic mixing bowls for cooking and baking. However, now we have switched to using these for most of our baking. I particularly like that I can melt butter or vegetable shortening right in the bowl before added other ingredients so I can dirty one less dish. They also clean and scrape out well. I use these for everything from mixing to baking to storage. Design The only product flaw I have found with these bowls are the lack of a good place to hold on to them. You really need two hands to move these around most of the time, unless you want to stick part of your hand in the bowl to get a good grip. I have also used the largest bowl in the oven, and I get nervous lifting it out without a ridge or handle to use for gripping with the potholders.

I love all of my Pyrex dishes, and the glass mixing bowls are no exception. You can use these for just about anything, and they are so much nicer than the cheap plastic bowls. The Pyrex glass is really thick, which makes it tough and break-resistant. One way that I use these for all the time is for steamed vegetables. As soon as they're cooked I remove them from the steamer (to stop the cooking process) and put them in one of these bowls before adding my oil and seasonings. Since the veggies are very hot, using a bowl made of heavy duty glass is a must, and these work perfectly for that. My favorite thing about using glass mixing bowls is that, unlike plastic, they are not porous. So you can use a dish one day for guacamole with raw onions or a homemade marinade with raw meat and garlic. Then you wash it (well of course) and the next day you can use it to mix up a batch of cookies, with no lingering taste of what you made in it before.

My wonderful husband bought me a set of these fantastic Pyrex Glass Mixing Bowls to add to my collection in my kitchen. These bowls are excellent for mixing cake batters, cookie doughs, dips, salads, practically everything! This set has three different sizes of mixing bowls, so I have one to suit any mixing need I have. I can actually use these as serving bowls as well as mixing bowls, and they look beautiful on the dinner table. Since they are glass, they are also microwave safe, so if you need to use them to heat something, that works too! These bowls are very reasonably priced and cleaning them is so easy. You can wash them either by hand, or in the dishwasher. My only disappointment is that I need a larger size bowl in this set. I am going to have to send my husband out to buy me a larger one as well. These bowls are easy to store in my cabinet because they stack up together. Several of my friends have commented on how nice these bowls are, so I think I know what some of them are going to get for Christmas!

Pyrex Glass Mixing Bowls are marvelous. They are almost perfect. They are sturdy and you can use them to mix a variety of things. The glass is pre-heated, so you can use it in the oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. It is dishwasher safe. You don't have to worry about a metallic taste, or leach odors from food. These bowls are easy to grip and lift. I actually enjoy cleaning and drying these. Really! They are made of fine glassware and they look expensive, even though, they don't cost that much. They are non-porous glass and see through. They are stain and odor proof. You can store and serve food in these for leftovers or for when you throw a party. It is fun to stir and mix things in these bowls. These are a must for baking and cooking. They work wonders with batter for birthday cakes etc. Pyrex bowls are so pretty. They will show off salads and pastas and other foods in a lovely fashion. Food does not stick to these bowls either. They are made so well, that they are hard to break. The regular price of Pyrex mixing bowls is fair, so on sale, a dream come true. I only gave Pyrex mixing bowls 4 STARS, but they really deserve 4.5 STARS. They get a "9" on a scale of 1-10. If you like to cook, or you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, you simply must get a set of these.

I received these Pyrex mixing bowls for my wedding almost nine years ago. I still have all the original bowls and their lids. I have used these bowls for everything in baking and cooking from mixing brownies to combining ingredients for a casserole. I have also used them countless times as a salad bowl when going to a large family gathering. They come in handy in those situations because you can cover them with their lids and not have to worry about spilling in your car. The bowls are also really easy to clean. I haven't found anything that I can't scrub out of this bowl. I also love how the bowls don't scratch when they are cleaned. They are extremely resilient. None of mine have broken, despite their constant use. The worse shape any of them are in is that one of them has a small chip from being bumped into something. I also like how these bowls come in different sizes, but vary in size so they can stack inside each other in the cupboard. Stacking them doesn't damage them at all.
